good evening,
Just a quick update. Today ive bought our first premium bonds, we have decided to start investing our house savings in these as the interest rates are dismal still, and theres always the tiny chance of winning a prize!
We are hoping to get the full £30,000 we need to clear our mortgage invested by 01/08/16, the date we plan to pay it off in full, ill keep you informed if we win, and any winnings we will save , ive yet to decide on where, we will have to think about that!
Ive checked accounts, and we are on track again to make full payments to all our savings, im chuffed with our progress!

another glorious day, sun shining, lovely!
We had a lovely long walk yesterday after i finished work, and before hubby started. The countryside is at its loveliest, birds busy feeding their babies, flowers and trees flowering, everywhere lush and green, i love the british countryside!
Friday is pay day for me. All finances/accounts as they should be.
Our regular saver matures on the 28th, so 29th we must remember to open our next one , this will be our "emergency fund" for any unexpected disasters , hopefully none, last years paid for new fence, and my daughters 21st birthday ..

We have just bought a new house so will be joining you at some point on the MFW threads. Waiting for first payment to go out on 4th but have already overpaid £50
RBS don't seem to make it easy to overpay though - still trying to find out how I can do it online instead of calling up Direct Banking every time. Any tips please divulge them!

Hi DFS, ring RBS, and ask for account number and sort code to allow you to set up a bill payment online, thats what i do! i then pay whatever ammount i can, i think on one sad occasion it was less than a fiver!:o every little makes a difference is my philosophy!:rotfl:
