Another gloriously sunny day! this spring has been the best weather for quite a few years! Bank holiday was soo busy!

im aiming to pay ahead on outgoings so if i cant work due to bad weather i dont need to worry. Up to now, im paid up to week 3 of may, once ive paid week 4, all extra for the rest of May will go into sinking funds and overpayments. Im thinking of doing this all summer, hopefully the good weather will continue..

After a really busy weekend, and overtime from hubby, we have now paid/put aside week 4 of Mays outgoings for bills/food etc..

So, i should be able to save and overpay using most of the rest of Mays income which is brilliant!
Summer and more working hours for me allows these plans, i literally have to make hay while the sun shines, as winter is our frugal incoming months..
Another glorious week of sun ahead, so hopefully another good week in my little rural cafe..

Following the relief of the planning saga, ive decided to use up my savings pot to overpay the rest of 2025 overpayment allowance of £5596.44!
The new balance is now £101,353.67, yey!!

this means though no more overpayments this year unless i want to incur EPC..
This is the first time ive ever completed the annual overpayment allowance, and in June!

Im going to use up all spare cash usually sent to the mortgage to rebuild my sinking funds account again..
