life has got in the way of diary updates..
    So, here goes-
M.I.L house has sold, so that is a massive relief, we just now have to make sure the £4000 a month fee is transferred each month to the care home. She has no idea who we are, and is no longer capable of any type of conversation, which is so sad..
My dad is recovering slowly from the pneumonia, but mum had nasty fall in the garden.. She has cracked ribs and is black and blue, so both need help so thats keeping me busy, alongside im now  back working 6 days, and animals to also care for..
im going through a planning application for my cafe, which is a nightmare, which im hoping is sorted quickly as its so stressfull.. they certainly dont make it easy..

We are trying to save and overpay as much as we can, life seems very hard at the the moment, lots of uncertainties in the country.. feels like worrying times..

We will get through this tough time, we have a lovely home, and relationship, and 2 lovely children.. Despite everything we are dealing with at the moment, we are blessed..

    DON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff.    Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.

De-lurking to send best wishes. Dealing with aging parents,  working and worrying about kids (however old) is A LOT! Sounds like you are doing really well.

    Hi thanks for dropping by!
No im not expanding the cafe, it is perfect for me to manage alone. The business is weather dependant , and the cost of employing someone wouldnt be viable, especially now.. just  really strict planning round here, so every change, tables etc requires updated planning permission.

My parents are slowly recovering thankyou, but going forward will need me to do shopping and sort appointments etc..

Thank you for your kind comments.. Its hard going at the moment, but thankfully both parents are on the mend with help, M.I.L sadly continues to drift into an ever declining mental state. Alzheimers is the most cruel disease

Today my little cafe is closed, as the weather forecast is not great..

But im making the best of my day off, visiting parents this morning, and recharging my batteries this afternoon with a good book after ive completed a few little tasks, and hubby has left for work.

Its been a fantastic couple of weeks weather-wise, and ive been super busy.

No news on the planning yet, what a pain, but fingers crossed i should hear something soon.
