    mortgage balance £95,350..

Its my birthday today, think its going to be a quiet one, hubby been up and down all night feeling sick, he has gone through every thing  with whatever this virus is, upset stomach, fever, sickness, cant see him being up to any birthday outings today sadly..

Im shattered as i didnt sleep well, it was really warm last night,,  so i opened windows,  it was raining heavily so along with hubby tossing and turning and noise of the rain it was difficult to settle.
oh well, the lurgy hasnt passed to me (yet), so it could be worse, if we were both ill looking after the animals, keeping fires lit etc would be a nightmare..
im going to have a steady day, and plan a nice tea, glass of wine and a soak in a bubbly bath later.. tomorrow is another day!! lol

had a quiet birthday, but ended up going out for tea with son, and hubby wanted to come and ended up eating too and felt a bit better though still weak..
Had mainly gifts of cash, and chocolate, ive ordered a couple of snuggly winter tops today, and will save the rest for treats as i find things i want..
Today was back to routine, cash and carry, mums errands, and ended day with a ride on my chunky cob, spotted bats coming out to play at dusk which was lovely.
Hubby still rough but slowly getting better, no doubt he will just be right in time for back to work on Monday...

Mortgage balance £95,000.. Thats my 2025 target reached a month early, which is amazing!!!

The weather has turned cold, the first frosts and wintry showers forecast today.

Things are gradually slowing in the cafe, i usually close in december as it gives me a break, and people are busy doing other things , christmas markets/shopping etc so not usually enough footfall to make opening worthwhile out in the sticks.
This year i am  mainly giving gifts of cash to the adult children, nieces etc, just bottles of booze and chocolate etc for stocking fillers so shopping shouldnt be too stressfull, and i had saved my christmas money over the year, so this year a financially stress free one.
Im pleased that ive managed to meet both the mortgage and saving target i had for 2025, i now need to look at 2026, we have lots to save for both in the cafe, and house and mortgage overpayments.
We would have to be really lucky to complete what we want, but lets see. I will set my targets next month when we have decided on the priority goal, i think it will be roof and insulation, depending on quoted prices .

Today is freezing!! we had snow overnight, i was awake at 4am as hubby was on night shift, i couldnt settle till he was home safe.

Sadly DD is home after her relationship of 4 years broke down, she seems to be coping with it, and it was fairly amicable but its not a nice thing to have to go through, so the household is having to readjust to an extra one in the fold.

well thats it for my little cafe for 2025, i close in December completely, as trade is dire due to the weather, and people distracted with christmas shopping and fairs etc at weekends..

Im looking forward to a month of family time, relaxing and not having to worry about stock buying etc!!

    Mortgage balance today- £93,850..
