    fresh month, new challenges!

    Won £25 on p.bonds this month  :)
im having a cash only budget this week, as i seem to have lost focus on grocery/misc spends so need to stick to budget!
sadly ive discovered i have inherited my nans alcohol allergy, severe gut problems if consumed, so my gin and tonics have had to go  :'( could be worse, could be chocolate..

the weather is cold, and looking unsettled next week, so will have to see how many days i manage to open next week! :/

im just off to set up the cafe, open today and tommorow at least, as dry but cold weather this weekend, lets hope i get a few customers venturing out up here.. :)

Oh no on the alcohol 😮! Although lots of lovely health benefits to not drinking, so perhaps try to focus on that? Have you tried non-alcoholic gin as a substitute so you can still have the experience?

Good luck for this weekend's takings. As long as it's sunny people tend to venture out, although I'm thinking you probably have some snow up there - we just have the cold here!
    Mortgage start: £65,495 (March 2016)
Cleared 🧚‍♀️🧚‍♀️🧚‍♀️!!! In 5 years, 1 month and 29 days

a drizzly start to the week here, the weekend was cold, meaning a steady weekend for my little cafe, but not a disaster..

The week ahead is set for rain and wind until later in the week, so maybe another week of closed days due to this, but at the minute the coming weekend is predicted to be dry at least, lets see...

im all set for a cash only week to make me focus on the penny watching, and i aim to save as much as possible this month, half for overpayments, half to p.bond/long term savings..

interest for March was £426.54- daily £13.75, a reduction of £0.9p a day on February.
The balance after interest is £174,026.54, lets see how much we can reduce this by in April! :)

Just paid £1200.54 to the mortgage, standard payment plus a little extra, new balance £172,826!  :) want to get it to £172,500 by end of month at least, so it never goes above £173 again even after next lot of interest is added ..

a rainy start to the week, and feeling a bit poo , so not opening  cafe until friday, when supposedly dry again!

being super penny watching and organised with spends this week, going cash only always makes me focus on what i spend, so i like to do it at least one week in 4 to make me realise whats going on with my food and animals food also spends..
