    A lovely sunny morning here!
a quick update on my payments so far, made standard payment, plus a couple of overpayments from hubbys bank holiday overtime, balance this morning now stands at £168,970  :)
We are both working hard to make the most of summer days in the cafe, and any overtime he can to reduce the mortgage, and get our emergency fund fully funded to one years take home, before we then start on savings for all works on our home..

The plan is to have the mortgage to £160,000 for xmas eve, and the emergency fund fully funded als by xmas eve, meaning 2023 sees the start of DIY savings- this will be a 2 year goal, theres LOTS to do!!! :/

    my poor neglected diary!!
Heres Julys update, been hectic with work, and M.I.L etc, but enough of the excuses, heres my update! :)

    Overpaid in July- £1990.21
    monthly interest- £409.62
    Daily- £13.21
    New balance 1/08/22- £166,117.05

Its been the best month yet for overpayments, due to long days in the cafe, e.bay, and hubbys overtime. I doubt we will have a better month this year for o.payments, but im trying my best to keep momentum up!

A good start to the month, won £50 on p.bonds, meal plan done, got rained off cafe today, so did big home bargains shop for all toiletries, and other bits for month. Also did aldi top up shop, my plan is to use as much from pantry/freezer as possible, just fruit and fresh stuff to get each week...

The summer is galloping by, only 3 months until clocks go back and my weekly hours and pay halves, so going to make the best of it!!

not a lot happening financially so far this month, a big car expense due at the end of this month, so will have to be careful not to over pay too much and leave us short!  :/
