:hello: Morning all
So much happier and alive today! Must be the rain - or rather the pretty good nights sleep. :j Only got up once and fed kitten at the same time, then he slept through to 6:30 - yaheyy!
Was feeding Finn again when Carlsberg lorry arrived to make it's 7:00 am delivery to the pub a little ways across the road. Awful loud big clattering horrible sounds. The lorry had tried to move into it's normal position but the driver must have been asleep! He managed to drag the scaffolding that was up in front of the house opposite down the road and it ended up swung through 90 degrees, leaning on top of his lorry! Police arrived to close off the road so scaffolders could make it safe and dismantle it, then put it back again. Lorry driver in shock! You see it all in the centre of our small town!
It could have been soo much worse. We live on a small main road, the houses are right on the street with no front gardens, and cars are parked on one side. The scaffold could have fallen into the houses, or on top of a car but luckily all it did was take off a little of the wooden detail on the house opposite. Since the scaffolding is up so the carpenter can replace the upper story window ledge I bet the detail will be up again within minutes.
Quite entertaining start to the day! You should see the nutcase drivers that tried to get through though. Daft daft daft!
Oh well, kitten sleeping, I've washed the pots from last night and I think it's going to be a productive day. Off to buy some more plants to brighten up the shady corner of our garden.
Hope all have a good day. Good luck at the dentists folks, and scuzz I hope they find out what's wrong quickly. You are going through it aren't you?
Ciao for now !0 -
Morning all
A bit grey here this morning but no rain - not had any for days here. Mind you it's sports day this afternoon so bang on 1pm it will tip it down.
Had a swish and swipe of everywhere, beds aired and made, kitchen floor swept and a quick mop over, washing machine is just finishing so will get it out on the line quick and hope I can get it dry. Ironing is all up to date and I think I can actually have a morning off. :j
Scuzz - Hope your BF is ok. Sounds nasty. I know what you mean with the recycling, we have green waste collected fortnightly on a monday, a black box scheme which is for tins, bottles and paper (not card - they leave that!!) is fortnightly on a Wednesday then black sacks every wednesday (we don't have wheelie bins). It's all ok until you chuck in a couple of bank holidays then it all goes to pot!
Hope you all have a great day,."Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0 -
Good Morning All
Scuzz (((hugs))) for you boyfriend
Jamiedodger & Pen Pen - hope your visits to the dentist go well. Ive done my bit and have got everything crossed that I dont have to see him for another 6 months. Nothing personal he is a lovely man but I hate going.
Having a bit of a change around today. Have got loads of important paperwork that Ive have been stressing over but as I try to a little bit of everything each day, some office work some housework etc, its not getting done. So I have decided that am going to ignore all but urgent housework and laundry and concentrate on paperwork. I know I can do it its just the getting started. Wont be able to do much over the weekend but will knuckle down to it weekdays.
Late start for me today however as builder is here to do the snag list. OH is treating me to lunch and I will do that as all work and no playHoping to make some serious headway.
So going to get on. - Lunch out & OH is cooking dinner for himself and kids as I am out for one of my good friends birthday indian. Bad timing as I had completely forgotten about it.
Hope you all have a great day.0 -
Blimey - must be my day! I've managed to bump into the carpenter I want to do 8 little jobs and he promises he'll come look at them next week! I've only been wanting to get him here since we had the boiler moved last October and now need a new boiler cupboard, amongst other things!
Hmmm - now means I'd better flylady double fast if he's going to be in every room in the house. Oh well, can't win them all.0 -
Goodmorning all.
long night ive had about 2 hours sleep so not staying on long will be back to catch up on all the posts later
Good start to the day here for me, got woken by my phone i asked for a cooker being offered on freecycle (2 years old looks great) ive never really been lucky as such with freecycle as i am not online alot but the cooker is being dropped off to my dads mate later today (they are comeing down my way saturday which is why i asked for cooker) feel really really lucky as it solves a huge problem of not having one when i move out my army quarter and means what i have in the savings i started for one can be used to buy other things i will need.
dull weather here today, it rained yesterday so the washing is sadly sat in tumble dryer then ironing it later. the wash load from last night will be hung on the airer to dry and nappies can all be done tonight if i run out of wraps they will use the all in ones for bed tonight, i tried to give some nappies i dont use away via freecycle not one person asked for them
beef casserole type dinner already in the slow cooker with some of the lovely veggies i got in my veg box yesterday will have the with mash and it will be followed by strawberry and nectarine crumble, also going to make an apple one to freeze to use up some of the apples i have in the house.
my fave job of cleaning the carpets needs to be done tonight Ds has a habbit of squeezing milk out of owens bottle onto the floor

Motivation completely gone again but the house looks like a bomb site so will have to do something soon. (((Hugs))) to all that need them. The rain is coming down here so no washing hanging here.
Me and DH are going to have a chat tonight as he is worried about me, thinks that I am slipping into depression again, hes proberbly right tbh but theres not much I can do about it I'm sure I'll be much better once July is over with. My problems are minor compared to some so I dont know why I feel like this.
Anyway that not really OS is it. Plan for the day is to get the toy room tidy and do some decluttering in our bedroom. Later on I need to get the CTC renewal form done now I have both our P60's. Tea is sausages and mash and DD has requested "Dippy eggs" for lunch so both easy meals.
Have a good day everyoneSorting my life out one day at a time0 -
