Declaring done for Oct at £40, this has just been fruit and veg and YS as using up freezer stocks
I did buy 16 packs of reduced pastry 50p instead of 1,50 and should get money back on promotion .
I bought it with DGD`s Christmas fair in mind but am now told that the dinner ladies are doing all the baking, so looks like I have several months of pastry to use up.
Also have decided to use up my emergency stash of tinned stuff as I have far too much.Slimming World at target0 -
I too have finished for this month. I've gone £18.21 over budget but not too disappointed as I needed to refill my freezer following an accidental defrost! This also included 2 pairs of PJs for me and a new frying pan so if I take those off I am under budget:D.
I spent £28.36 in Mr Ts and £32.72 in Mr Ms yesterday which gives me a total of £368.21 for the month.
Not sure what I am going to aim for next month as I need to do an inventory of my freezers and cupboards and do a meal plan before I can see what I am likely to need as don't want to end up with too much stuff as would like to turn off one of my freezers in December as we are going away just before Christmas until New Year.

Since I haven't bought anything since then... I am so pleased to declare at £169.79 / £170. Really chuffed as I suspected I might go over. Woohoo:D :j:j

Afternoon All,
I hope you are all well. I'm declaring the end of the month at £119.34/£140.00! Yay! :j A lot of this is down to people taking pity on me and buying bits and pieces!! Also I've been going to the supermarkets at reduction times and buying a lot of YS goodies. I've been buying a lot of meat, fruit and veg at massive reductions and cooking from scratch.
Have a good rest of the month everyone, it's been fab being along for the ride this month.Married in 2016. Bought our first home in 2017. Expecting our first baby in November 2017
Frugal & thrifty as much as possible.0 -
I so wish I could get to the shops at reduction times and pick up YS stuff really cheap but unfortunately I've got nearly 20 mile round trip and don't really like driving at all so avoid it unless absolutely necessary!

The OH's parents and brother are coming down this weekend, and we realised last night we didn't have enough pillows!! So had to go out to T*sco's to buy some along with other things they eat (because they don't eat non-branded stuff...)
I made the mistake of bringing the OH along:
- I wanted to go for £2 smartprice pillows but he insisted they needed "decent" ones so we ended up spending £29 on 4 pillows  plus I've just seen on the Tesco website that I could've gotten a vac pac free, and some of the pillows were on 2 packs for £20
- he wanted blueberries (£2.20 cf £1.39 in Ald!)
- he wanted apples (£1.65 for 5 cf 99p for 4 in Ald! although I think I saw a click snap offer for apples on TCB so hopefully that's some of the money back)
- he insisted on Tropicana (£2.28 cf £1.35 in Ald!)
- he turned his nose up at £1 milk rather than the £1.39 stuff, but I wasn't having that!
- he insisted they would want Special K Oats and Honey (£2.69 for a TINY box, it must have gold flakes in it...)
- he wanted a particular bottle of BBQ sauce, which was £1.69 for a small bottle
Definitely the last time I take him shopping, he's so good to me most of the time I just can't say noBut £65.16 is just ridiculous (and apparently we saved 24p by shopping at Tesco, I think not!).
Also need to add £2 for filler (to fill a hole in the wall, not the hole in my budget unfortunately)
We're eating out tonight and tomorrow, but hopefully they're paying, fingers crossed anyway.
