Forgot to add that Mr Shortie got a large sack of spuds on Monday.Signature updated now.

Shopping this weekend at the fruit and veg market, and some form of Mr T top up. But the top up should be minimal (haha famous last words) as we have loads off dinner bits in the freezer :)

I spent £22 today but will hopefully not shop again tomorrow. I am going to do an inventory of everything I have in the freezer, fridge and cupboards and then meal plan from there.

I'm so sorry your boy has hypermobility sequeena. I'm glad his operation went well though.

  • £10.98 today in Asd*, had a £5 credit on a clothes refund, shorts that we realised eldest had in same size i had just bought for DD2. So should have been £15.98 before the fiver off.Treated myself to a bottle of Mulled wine with ginger - my fave - hardly drink anymore, but i might want the odd glass, if not then it can just stay there til nescesssary . Also, got some treats for girls for Sat night too, and some Quorn meals. Also 97p on small cartons for packed lunches in C*-*p too.

Officially signed off JSA today as i have found out my pay is monthly, so i don't have to declare hours week by week to dole, and I have also got more shifts than initially - some sort of crisis and they need cover starting tomorrow. God knows how i will work out all my incomings and outgoings, as i have spent so long being in a routine of JSA. Although i have to pay out a whack in transport (£20 so far for bus fare and then when on lates, £8 a night back in taxi fare . However it's coming up to Christmas, so could well get very busy and they'll need more cover. Also, i get meals provided on the job, which is great and hopefully will even out the spends.

Have no clue what sort of budget i need to set for next month. Just as i get used to go from two to three people, i now have a whole new situation AGAIN . May have to play it by ear! I will get JSA in arrears and then pay from now til 1 Nov, which i have to make stretch to the next payday.Think the meal plan is going to go out the window til i get into a routine too :rotfl:

Hoping to still be on budget or as near to as damn it, although had other spends; school shoes, coats etc. DD2 needs a pair of boots; and just discovered a pair of mine and my wellies are both leaking, not good with this terrential rain, but will have to make do for now.

Sorry for long post , but first time i have been on here all day, not used to it. Now i can jobsearch in my own time, and not per jobcentre criteria (more sociable hours would mean less transport costs); I can put my efforts into being more savvy and getting the house straight, inbetween not working .

I need some fruit & veg today.
I'm only taking £10 with me to stop me buying stuff I don't need.

spends of £44.71 in Mr T & £20 at the butchers - nearly had a heart attack buying lamb shank £16 for 3!!

Have you tried the 'shop' on Group0n? it sometimes has offers from butchers (recent ones have been organic too) I got a housewife box on one, have to pay £7/8 for delivery, but enough to last a month, its only me and son so this should last us ages in the freezer. the one i got was £40 for a £90 housewife box. might be an idea to keep an eye out for them.
I do feel your pain tho, when my ex lived with me, he would only shop at his parents local butcher, who is award winning, and people do come from half way accross the country to get his stuff, but this day he got 4 sausages and a few bits of chicken for on the bbq. think it was 6 bits of chicken, some drumsticks and a few wings. Total was just shy of £20!
The taste of the organic free range chicken compaired to the chicken i bought at the butchers in town was soo different. I cant afford his prices so i look for the deals on places like gr0up0n and the such.
i just need to rememebr to cancel my membership so i dont get another box 1 month later haha
