Did I say today would be a nsd?:o That was before I read that MRT had all baking 3 for 2. I stocked up on flour, yeast and icing sugar. I have added the total to my signature.
Plus they have spaghetti for just 20p per 500g at the moment so I grabbed a few more of those :p

Had a surprise invite to my eldest for a roast tonight, I took dessert with me out of stores, excellent food, I wish I could claim that I taught him how to make yorkshires and gravy like that but I didnt, and I got to cuddle my new Granddaughter for a little while.
Had to knock a meal off my meal plan, ho hum!

    NSD today.

Had some torrential rain this afternoon and it set lots of car alarms off as it was that bad. Hope no one is under water.

Hi all, I have just been reading this thread with great interest. I am going to get myself in gear and give this a good go in Nov :)

Welcome - and looking forward to seeing you on here next month :)

Hey - WELL DONE - it's great that you managed under budget

Not feeling too well this week-end so had to hold my breath and send DH with a small list to Al*i. Really pleased as he only bought the grocery things on list, didn't substitute for anything not there, got a HUGE swede and HUGE cabbage - both 59p each - and bought me a treat out of his own money, Bless.:D
Bill was £ 10.81 but should mean I don't need to shop for the rest of the week ( well - that's Plan A):rotfl:Have amended totals.

    Have a good week all

    Congrats :j

I spent £30.72 in Ald! today, which was more than I ought considering my shopping list going in, but the extras were mostly store cupboard stuff so don't feel too bad :o. Bought Saxon luxury toilet roll for the first time (£2.99 for 9 rolls) so will yet y'all know how I get on!

So the meal plan for the week is:
Today: bangers, mash, gravy and veg (I so wish I had a bigger freezer so I could've bought those 60p Yorkshire puds in Sainsbobs yday :()
Monday: stir fry (except now the OH says he wants to go out for a meal )
Tuesday: roasted veg quiche (LOs for lunches)
Wednesday: aubergine and kidney bean burgers and fries
    Thursday: homemade pizza
Friday: meal out with the OH's parents
Saturday: not sure what the plan is yet

On the downside, I remembered about a poundstore visit that we did last weekend, which was mostly stuff for the flat, so need to look out that receipt and see exactly how much we spent...
