Was hoping today was going to be another NSD but needed to pop out to buy some eggs. Was good and went to the farm shop and only bought half dozen FR eggs - was tempted to buy another cauliflower as they had some lovely ones for only 59p - I paid £1 for one last week and nowhere near as bit.
Will definitely pop in the farm shop at the weekend and hopefully I'll be able to get one at that price.
Have updated by signature by the 95p I spent on the eggs.

silly question but do you put it in the slow cooker pot or in a separate dish. My slow cooker is a large one so if I was to put it in the pot, it would make too much.
Bung it straight in the actual pot that the slow cooker comes with. I did two layers which made four portions. If you just do one layer then that may solve the problem. Or do what i did and freeze someGC Jan £101.91/£150 Feb £70.96/150 Mar £100.43/150 Apr £108.45 app/150 May £149.70/150 Jun £155.15/150 July £123.74/£150 (includes food, toiletries and cleaning from 13th to 12th of each month. I would love to know how to do this too. I did find a recipe but it used cottage cheese (which I can't eat). You make that one straight into the pot. I would like to make my usual lactose free one but be able to cook it it the slow cooker.
Also - has anyone frozen eating apples? I've tried to google it and keep getting loads of differing opinions as to how to do it. I would appreciate some first hand experience. I've tried stewing them but they tend to go - solid, solid, solid, burnt! I tried in the slow cooker and got a revolting looking brown mush. Can I use the microwave? I'm collecting apples everyday and there is a limit to the time I have to bake cakes and the amount of apple crumble/eve's pudding I can serve to the family.
Just layer it the same as you would do in a normal dish. Its so easy, you can just leave it and walk away. I used Dolmio light white sauce which i bought when last on offer at Mr T.GC Jan £101.91/£150 Feb £70.96/150 Mar £100.43/150 Apr £108.45 app/150 May £149.70/150 Jun £155.15/150 July £123.74/£150 (includes food, toiletries and cleaning from 13th to 12th of each month. I spent just over £40 in t's on friday, and so far my top ups have been 1 loaf at £1.35 and 1 pack of clementines at £1. I need to check my reciept and work out what was actual 'messages' and what was extras that i picked up - like cheap camping things...Living Simply, not simply living.Weight Loss - 5b/55lb

Annoyed with myself cos I've lost track a bit this week - mainly due to a night out and working nights . Ended up have a McDonalds on Saturday (to help my hangover
) and a takeaway Monday night because I was too tired from my night shift to cook!
Despite my little blip I do know that I've spent a lot less than I normally would so far this month and I've updated my signature as best I can. Spent £6.50 in Mr T's last night and £22.50 in Aldi and £11.50 in Iceland today. Have meal planned for the next 7 days so should only need bread, milk, cat food etc over the next week.

Oh I am not doing well. Last post was £85.03/250 and now it is up to £136.29.
In my defence that includes £20 ish worth of Xmas stuff bought on a visit to Lidl, and my brother in law has stayed with us for 3 weeks (as of tomorrow, when he is going home and I get a rest from buying and making "visitor type" meals). He is taking us out to dinner tonight, so my rest starts here!
22 days left, but only £113.71 left = about £5 per day. Watch this space for some "no spend days" coming up!Downshifted

A spend of 6.00 on YS fruit and veg, bread and milk. The YS was all 75% off. I had a giggle when I saw loads of 250g packs of chestnut mushrooms for 25p, these were originally priced at 1.00. I think everyone must have got theirs in Aldi for 69p and
asda were left with loads, serve them right :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:I bought 4 packs and 4 packs of satsumas, 2 cabbage 4 packs mixed cauliflower and broccoli and 4 packs of mixed carrot and swede. that's enough to see me to the end of the month and loads to freeze for next month.Slimming World at target0 -

Still sticking to our meal plan and today has been another NSD so that's 3 out of four so far since our month started on Friday. We do need more packed lunch stuff so I'll have to venture out tomorrow but I've decided just to take a limited amount of cash with me to avoid impulse purchases and limit any unnecessary spending. Will update sig x
That looks fabulous I love to see the pics and see what other peeps are having. one thing strikes me though and that is my portions are so much smaller, its not that I am mean but I find as I have got older I cant eat big portions like I used to, I suppose its because I am not so active now.has anyone else found this?Slimming World at target0 -
