    I'm hoping for a NSD.
It's so cold & windy here that I want to hibernate.

    Hi,

Still doing okay with grocery expenditure (food and drinks only). Any purchases have had winter season in mind, in order to use up existing food supplies and the use of vouchers. Will be checking later to collect any garden produce.

This is the diecutter I bought, I have made up 6 for the school fair and put chocolate coins and a small chocolate Santa in them, I am now thinking to make up some with a small bottle of whiskey and a chocoloate as table presents for Christmas dinner.

  • Hi all

Manic week sorry for not posting! Spent £21.72 on Sunday for my weekly top up (we fancied a drink and OH didn't have any in otherwise would have been £15.00) which takes me just over half way on my expenditure for the month, but I have a very topped up freezer and stock pile. Also had 10/13 NSD so far :)

Made apple crumble at the weekend using the freeby apples that a lady at work brought in so OH has that for a week of puds, also made sausage rolls too. Did a hike at the weekend with my Scouts and there were a couple of perishables that weren't used so also have sausage rolls for next week and some cakes for OH for next week that were free.

Hoping to only spend £20.00 this weekend, just need some dog de-flea stuff (three months comes around so quickly!) couple of fresh bits and might make HM pizza for OH this weekend.

I have a day to myself on Sunday (catching up with all this weeks Hollyoaks and Hollyoaks later on Sky Plus - can't wait!) so am trying to think of some cheap and healthyish snacks for the day. Normally I would just chill in my onesie, eat and eat and eat but am watching my weight as well as the budget. I am going to get some breadsticks and salsa (and some veggies), make some popcorn with sweetener and just want a few other piccy ideas to feel like I am indulging :D

Off to plan my soup for next week now too... x

  • Hellooo everyone!! Sorry i've been MIA for over a week. My laptop died completely so i'm finally back with a nice shiny new one! :D

There are over 20 pages to catch up on so i don't think i'm gonna have to time do it. Really sorry. Hope everyone is ok though and doing well. I have no idea how much i've spent however I have kept all of my receipts i think so i'm gonna tally up this afternoon and assess the damage. Haven't really done any meal planning so i'm hoping the damage isn't too bad :\

We also eat less than we used to.

A1di spends of £18.47 this morning which am very pleased about.
Spent exactly £100 yesterday on meat (it was actually slightly more but got let off 40p for cash) Have bagged everything up and frozen it and worked out prices and will add the cost as and when its used. Our freezers are now packed full and had to put the chicken breasts in mum's as ran out of room.
    MARCH £62.38/250
  • Have got back from Lidl and Mr S and have just totalled up what I've spent,

Spent £48.23 in Lidl. This included enough meat for about 10 meals which is all in my newly defrosted freezer. Also bought some veg, (including some parsnips to make soup cos it's my DS favourite), cold meat as we have someone for lunch at the weekend (will use leftovers for DH lunches next week), household bits, few tins, yogurts, milk, and some rye bread mix to see if we like it.

Mr S next, to buy what I couldn't in Lidl. Spent another £22,74 on fruit, salmon, several pots of soya yogurt for me, fabric conditioner (would have been cheaper in Lidl but I really like this smell) and some chicken pies. I was trying to buy smoked fish to make a crumble for tonight (and another for the freezer) but the fish was quite expensive and the frozen wouldn't have defrosted in time so I decided to forget it and just bought the pies for tonight. I have made HM dinners all week plus lots of apple based products so an evening of ready make pie and veg won't kill anyone. Just have to decide what to do with the mushrooms I had already bought which would have gone into the crumble!

Although I had set a budget to £450 I was secretly seeing if I could do £100 a week, so I'm a a bit disappointed not to have managed it, but I do need to remind myself that I needed to restock the freezer so I should manage on a bit less next week.
    May spend - £291.40/£320.00
    June spend - £106.40/£320.00

Spends yesterday in Mr M of £5.53 on YS potatoes, tuna and Cadburys Occasions biscuits to put away for Christmas ... as it's food, it is out of the same subject.

Today £5.00 on FF on LMc Sausage Rolls, Quorn chicken nuggets and chicken pieces.
£2.00 in Mr T express on apples and Funsize Mars for £1, as they are never available when i order online (these are for Halloween ...if they don't get eaten, then they will go to my girls over the next few weekends on treat night).
£5.80 in HB on a few bathroom bits and S*cla Pesto

    Eek £18.33total
