  • An unexpected £8 exactly to report in Mr M, DD1 has cookery tomorrow and waited until 7pm today to give me her ingredient list (we had both forgotten about it :o) so got everything on her list and also some crisps and squash to keep DH happy.

updating signature to add another £50 exactly :)

i am noticing a real difference now that i am shopping at Aldi.

The aldi that i go to is just down the road from a morrisons. So i go to aldi and get the majority of stuff, then pop into morrisons to get the 3 for £10 meats.

I am a real tea fiend and my fave is Twinings Everyday. This is something i have never gone down a brand on. I have tried lots of different cheaper tea brands but just nothing compares to twinings.

Can anyone recommend one? I have an Aldi, morrisons, and Tesco close to me.

Tonight we had chicken breast stuffed with mozzarella and wrapped in bacon with a few mushrooms in sauce and some potato slices. Got the big thumbs up from us both.

Meg72 - have just sent you some idea of how to post picture via photobucket but not sure if I pressed send or delete. If you not got a private message in your box let me know and will have another go unless someone else sent them and believe me their's will be easier to understand than mine :rotfl:

  • Couple of spends the last few days ( bread, milk etc ) so £5.69 to add to my total. All these small top up shops I'd never have counted previously so it's making me realise how much I spend when I "just nip to the shop".

  • Please could I try for £200 this month again. We have made a bit of a dent in our (grossly ) cupboards in the last month, and I'm finding I'm enjoying seeing clear space in the cupboards! The freezer is a little low, but I've on purpose only added a few bags of veg and some easy chicken things that were reduced to silly prices, rather than filling it up automatically.

As I've just posted in the tail end of the Sep thread, I didn't post there towards the end of the month for various reasons, but I'm looking forward to checking out the daily as I used to, especially to keep up with Florenceem and Bluegreen's pics.

Good luck to everyone. This is my penultimate use up month before the Christmas stock up begins! We are at home this year so I am hoping to get lots of Christmas Eve etc bargains if possible :)
