TV licence ending dont want to renew

I've not long moved into my house where the tenant wasn't paying any bills, let alone the TV licence, so sure enough, on the doormat was one of those red threatening letters to 'The occupier'. I thought I'd show willing, though not in any forlorn hope of stopping the letters for long, but when I went on line they were asking for details which I just wasn't prepared to give (email if not phone). So I ignored the letters which contine to arrive in the name of 'The Occupier'. If they actually made the effort to find out my name - it's on the electoral role - I'd be a little more forthcoming, but as it is I'm just looking forward to the call which has been threatened by numerous letters.
The best bit of course, is that I don't have a TV, haven't had one since the late 1980s and have no desire for one or even using catch-up. I don't even watch much in the way of DVD's as I've only ever bought one and the rest I've collected off the front of newspapers or been given! I seem to find plenty to do without one...
Whatever.., it might be amusing when they call and I'll be sure to update you all. :-)0 -

Lucky for you. Not so lucky for Sacha28, above, though.Would be dealt with by me keeping a copy of what I signed.
Then it becomes your word against theirs.0 -
Please remember that the TV Tax Collectors are salesman employed by crapita, at the behest of the Bolshevik Broadcasting Commisariat.
You do not need to buy anything off these goons, there is no compelling you to answer any of their question nor sign any of their sales documentation.

That is what these goons are like. they get commision, yet watchdog do not feature them!
Please remember, you only need a TV Tax Form to watch live, or near live TV. That is, as it is being broadcast.
you do not need a TV licence if you only use catchup services, such as iplaye, itv player, netflicks and lovefilm etc.
If a goon appears at your door, remember, they are sales people. If you do not wish to buy anything, you do not have to even talk to them. Treat them like the double glazing people, door shut.0 -
However, if you have the capability to watch - the risk to you is extremely high, in much the same way a potential burglar is convicted for 'going equipped'.0

In some cases, non-CRB checked, complete strangers.0

That only applies to civil cases.
In criminal cases, it is "proof beyond reasonable doubt".0 -

Not only did parliament not give them the power of entry, but they went out of their way, to categorically state they mustn't have it.0
