I don't seem to be getting anywhere fast today. My excuse is I had loads of emails and surveys to do. I think I'm nearly done with the surveys. I have managed to clear a lot of my programmes on the box though. Almost at the point where its all stuff for DD or stuff I've recorded that she also wants to watch. I'm going to have to get a wriggle on!
Personal:
Shredding
Pay CC
Update finances (including business)
Writing x 10 pieces
Work through to-do/Pending files
Toots list
Filing
Scanning (old documents from pre-2006)
Ironing
Back up phone & update to iOS7 *gulp*
Kitchen
15 minutes....
Hover and mop floor
30 minutes to spare....
Clean a window
Sort the under sink cupboard
Got an hour....
Dust on top of shelves/cupboards/furniture
Wipe the window sill
Extras
Sort out your T-towels, oven gloves apron, dispose of old one and wash dirty ones
Wipe some door handles
I best get my laptop out and start doing stuff on there. Mine doesn't like some of the survey sites which involve using flash videos so I borrow DD's while she is at schoolCreeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -
My list is done! I don't even have dinner to do today as DSS is 16 so it's takeout for tea :j _party_
Electrician is coming by this evening to look at the shower switch. I'm going to get cwtched on the sofa with my boys once we're home from the school run and see if I can get the leg of my sock finished.0 -

Got a question to ask you all and please tell me honestly what you think. DH's cousin, who had lived with partner for many years, has 2 small children with her, is getting married this weekend. They have asked for money for their honeymoon which consists of 2 nights for them as a couple, followed by their 2 small kids joining them.
I feel annoyed by this suggestion to say the least. What do others think?Cross Stitch Challenge Member ?Number 2013 challenge = to complete rest of millenium sampler.0 -
Beautiful bloom AnW's Mum.
Very sad today MIL and FIL's beloved pet was sent to doggy heaven this morning. She was 16 years old and was loved by the whole family. It's a terrible blow with MIL being so poorly after her op.
Flying... All downstairs hoovered. All hotspots dumped in a pile on the dining room table. If the kids want to eat they will have to regime their belongings.
DS2 is booked into the drs tonight. He's hobbling with foot pain. My boys are cursed! DS3 is still very bruised from his torn ligaments.
I'm off on a school trip with DD2's class to the sealife centre tomorrow. Why do I put myself down for these things!0 -

I dislike the whole 'give us money' thing.. I think it is very rude.. begging almost.. can you spare any change? .. I'd get them nothing or I'd get them a gift of my choosing... and if they don't like it.. tough.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -

So I think I'm going to go on Et5y and get something really lovely. We don't have the cash to put into a card anyway so would have to be a cheque which is even worse as could come out at anytimeDiary: Getting back on track for 2013 and beyondDEBT FREE 13-10-13 :dance::dance::dance::dance:

Thanks ladies. I feel it's a real cheek. I'm not working at the minute so we are quite tight for money but even if we weren't, I just don't like the idea of it. I wouldn't mind so much if they were saving for new furniture. I also think I just don't agree with them asking for money for a honeymoon when they already have 2 kids!! Surely they have already had it!!
DH is not happy but doesn't want to upset his family. I want to go out and get a B and Queue voucher instead!Cross Stitch Challenge Member ?Number 2013 challenge = to complete rest of millenium sampler.0 -

I think it is ok as they have presumably have everything they need for their house. It is nice that they are including their two children x
Flying for me is absolutely zilch but hopefully tomorrowI must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0 -

DH and I are having a party soon to celebrate us each having a significant birthday. We've asked for no gifts (and suggested 2 charities of people would like to contribute). I just don't want more stuff to clutter my house, and can see that others may feel the same, so I'd happily contribute to an "experience" for the happy couple rather than buying an unwanted gift
A'n'W's - missed the rose before - it's beautiful! Lucky you to have roses at this time:rudolf: Sheep, pigs, hens and bees on our Teesdale smallholding :rudolf:0 -

I'm disappointed not to see cleaning behind the fridge on this week's list, DustySadly Mr Bloom is one of my MEP's - I've met him and he's an idiot of the highest order
I'm going for cleaning behind the bed instead

I personally feel that asking for money is rude. It would have been much more polite to say 'we have all we need for our home so please do not worry about buying a gift' that way I bet lots of people would have given cash or vouchers anyhow.
Meeting decluttered.
Need to bake for the next meeting now and make some home made chicken nuggets and then see if the washing has dried at all after hanging out all day.The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0
