I started updating my phone to the new iOS at 6.50.... and its still not sorted. The update crashed my phone  I am just praying that I can restore it to what it was earlier today. I rely so much on my phone for everything & its the only place I have a lot of my contact numbers recorded etc. Guess what I'm doing tomorrow...making a paper back-up of all the info on there!

Day 1 on "operation roof" a success. Long may it continue. The success, that is, not the building work
House put to bed, WM fed and wet stuff hung to dry indoors - too much tat outdoors ATM to put it on the line tomorrow.
Tomorrow will probably be non-flying. We are leaving at 7.45, I will collect DS at 3.30 and do him a quick tea, then collect DD en route to swimming lessons, and probably not get home till near 6. Snacks a plenty I think for those two. I've put a reminder in my phone to take his swim stuff and a book for DD cos I'll forget otherwise.
Their clothes and bags are all laid out, my pack up is ready, and I'm all washed hair etc. so hopefully a peaceful easy morning. Yeah right...Bossymoo

FizzWhizz - It must be the week for it; the shower in my en-suite started smouldering the other day and shorted out. Fortunately it was only £70 to replace and fit another. I hope yours gets sorted soon.

I haven't been on mse for a while. Found I was spending so much time on line and not getting things done.
Should love to join you now, though, as I could do with a bit, or maybe a lot, of motivation. I'm retired but look after terrible two year old grandson up to two full days and two mornings a week. I'm also very involved with WI and I have arthritis in my spine that limits me at times.
So........it's difficult for me to commit to definite tasks each day but having lurked for a while I've found I'm achieving more and the house is looking more cared for and as a
result I'm a happier bunny.
Today, despite having looked after gs all day, I've achieved all but 2 of the goals. Still need to clear out the cupboard under the sink and mop the floor but not tonight. I'm too tired and my back hurts.0 -
Hi all
Just a quick reminder of the link to donate to the virtual coffee morning this friday.
The money is donated directly from Wirgen just giving to Macmillan it doesn't come to me at all (just in case anyone was worried).

I'm looking forward to a large slice of victoria sponge
Off to do a bit of flying before bed. The kitten came in 10 mins ago with her first mouse, neither her or I knew what to do with it but she sensed I was going to take it off her so has run off.

Mine took 3 hours to do and OH's took 5 so it might just be a pain due to servers being busy.
You are forced to back up the phone before updates so you can cancel the update and do a restore so it will be just how it was before if you need to.
You should be able to access the back up on your computer easy enough using the relevant software.
If all else fails do the factory reset, then the update then restore the back up.

Pigpen, I didn't realise you'd had another baby. I was on another members fb page & had a nosy around & came across your page!
Congratulations x When was she born? Your page isn't open btw, just saw a recently dated pic. Also, I'm not a weird stalker, honest! Used to have you on my old fb account, but set a new one up over a year ago.
I've got loads done today, so I'm quite pleased with myself. This is a good motivational thread

I wish it had just been slow servers. Apparently its a known problem with 1tunes 11(?) and now they know about it there's a fix on the way. It backed up then wiped my phone but couldn't install the software or get past the logo screen. I ended up installing 1tunes on DD's laptop, restoring my phone to factory settings using that, then connecting it to my laptop and restoring it from backup. I knew I should have procrastinated another week :rotfl::rotfl:
Now trying to sort out my music and apps on it. Looking at the laptop version I am missing a lot of things I had installed but must have deleted.
