Can't remember which mummy posted about having difficulty getting baby to sleep unless against your chest- have you tried a wrap type sling? My DD was the same and until I bought it, I couldn't do anything. With it on, she was happy, I could peg the washing out, clean the kitchen etc

thirfty I did actually buy one last week but didn't quite feel like I had the hang of it. I couldn't work out whether she or I were too small for it as I felt like she was going to fall out. I will try again tomorrow with a doll I think. Especially as I've only just broken free for the third time today. Although I do love the cuddles.

Going to have a look at ofsted reports ahead of high school browsing then fly if I can.
  • Jo, thanks for the a Toots update. Bless you xxx

I've got a bit of flying done today. Most importantly I did half hour on the wii fit.

Horrible moment earlier. Put youngest to bed. He was fine. Pottered about for a bit, then settled to watch GBBO. My eldest said, is that Olly crying. I hadn't heard him. He was HYSTERICAL. He had a sore bum. So out cream in & gave him medicine. He had cuddles & went to bed with the older 2 when GBBO finished. I feel so bad for not hearing him.

    Night all

    xxx

Good to read but with a pinch of salt and a dash of reality ;)

    Ironing done
DS1 collected DS2 for me which was most welcome. Boys all really tired tonight so I foresee a struggle in the morning. Off to bed in a minute. Sleep tight all.

I agree dusty. Dd1 current primary school is not bad on ofsted but I no longer rate it. One school I looked at has come up as outstanding but I know is quite rough.
Its hard, going to look around this next few weeks but even that doesn't give a true reflection. It's like buying a house, I don't rightly know.

  • Oooh bedroom next, feel like I'm a little ahead of the game as I hoovered through earlier today/yesterday, does need dusting and tidying, would definitely like to clean the en suite as st work on thurs and won't get anything done then. Just up feeding baby, she's been asleep for nearly 3 hours which is unheard of!! Hoping she's going to go back to sleep soon, I'm half asleep myself!!

Mrsmortenharket, bless you, it's awful when you accidently do something like that, but hey, no harm done, and it wasn't deliberate so don't beat yourself up about it.

    Cyclingyorkie, glad OH all ok.
  • Morning ladies

I've been MIA for a couple of weeks now and haven't had chance to catch up with you all - I hope life is treating you all kindly.

I've been getting to grips with life as a single parent - boy it's busy and I don't actually get to sit down much on the PC, hence my absence, but I have been busy flying, decluttering and dehoarding and the house is infinitely better and easier to clean. Just checking in to see where we are up to so I don't fall off the wagon and into bad habits.

    Monday - Kitchen
    Clean a window
    Got an hour....
    Dust on top of shelves/cupboards/[STRIKE]furniture[/STRIKE]

Tuesday - Living Room, Hall & Stairs
    15 minutes ....
Do something from your Toots list, or at least start something if you have nothing you can do in 15 minutes
    30 minutes to spare
    Declutter and dust the mantle
Dust any flat surfaces including the hearth
    Got an hour.....
Organize for chimney to be swept, stock up on firelighters, is the wood store full?

    Wednesday - Any bedroom
    30 minutes to spare....
    Clean down behind the bed
    Got an hour....
    Dust lampshades and bulbs
    Extras
    Test smoke alarms

Will knuckle down to these after work later. We've had 4 dry days here so I will also mow the lawn and have a general tidy up outside prior to the garden bin being collected on Friday.

    Enjoy you day all ......

Morning all. Someone decided that 6am is a sensible time for all of the alarms to go off in our house :(.
Anyway, WM and TD fed and on. Kitchen clean from last night still. Off for a shower when I've had my coffee and then will put DD's bag in my car ready for taking her to school. Then get lunches done and maybe mop floor. Although floor would be best first I think.
Will just have a gander at the listy.
