    Morning all

I have been really really busy this weekend and was working yesterday (supply *kerching*) so today I have a mess, clutter and muck mountain to climb.

I hope Toots' family take some comfort in the knowledge that her virtual friends have shown so much love and respect for someone they never met (well most of us) IRL yet still held her in such high regard. A lovely lady who kept her own issues and problems under the wire while cheering us all on with such enthusiasm and encouraging us with such wisdom.

    Sleep peacefully, lovely TOOTS x

Spending today thinking of the lovely Toots and all of us who loved her. RIP lovely lady your legacy of the 'Toots List' and your lovely 'Welcome message' will live on. Our lives are so much richer for having had you in it and heaven has gained a true treasure.

I too hope her family realise what they have lost and get some comfort knowing she was loved as much as she was by people all over the UK. Special love to the ladies here who were part of her life in the real world.. I know you all meant the world to her, you chose to be a part of her life and for that she was always so incredibly grateful.

Nicki.. yes perfectly normal behaviour.. mine are doing a 'mute' phase.. apparently they don't understand a simple question such as 'when did we discuss this?' (the answer being we didn't and you are in BIG trouble!)

MMM/Roxy.. Mine is a binny baby too... she is just waking for a feed but was fed at 10, 12, 4 and 7 over night.. She has her 6 weeks check today with the quack.. I might get her registered at the surgery while I'm there.. then again ;) I will be asking about the reflux too.. she and I and her basket are constantly covered in regurgitated milk :(

Cuppa glugged.. 10 rows of knitting done.. bins all out and being emptied right now..

Sorry for not having posted. Am away to my bed after I've finished my drink and been to the loo.
Tea is in the slow cooker for later. Have done the WM and TD shuffle but won't put any more in either until later when I get up. The load that's come out is glaring at me from the rug and will all need ironing :(.
Need a rather severe declutter of the gibble on the table later on.
AnW that is a lovely rose.
DD's off on school camp tomorrow. £81 for the day from tomorrow (taking her own packed lunch) and returning at lunch time on Thursday. Rip off!
Not sure if DH did any more painting yesterday but we continue to work our way through my Toots list. Lots to do before 19th December!
Misty here today which has brought a blissful coolness with it.
Nowt done from lists yet. Will start this evening and do more tomorrow evening and Thursday. I will be flogging DH to undercoat the half newel post tonight as I can't reach it and will get on and do the rest of the banisters. Hoping to get the first coat of satin wood on on Thursday. If I can have it finished by Friday, I may persuade DH to chuck some paint and wall paper at the kids rooms at the weekend. It may take a whole weekend to do each room though as we will be mostly playing large item Tetris to paint walls and skirting and I'm terrified of getting paint on carpets .
    Right, laters!

    Morning everyone.
thanks for all your comments re the wedding. I now have so many ideas but think DH will still just want to stick money in the card!
Honeybear- I wouldn't be offended! I have a pretty thick skin!

I know I'm going to sound really mean when I type this, and I hope I don't offend anyone on here, but I really don't see the point in having a huge white wedding when you already have 2 kids! It especially narks me as her MIL to be is the church warden and the DIL to be is in the Mothers union, just smacks of hypocracy in my mind.
So if they had put on their invite we have everything we need for our house but if you wish to buy us M&s or John Lewis vouchers, I wouldn't have minded. It's just when I know that in the background she is trying to work out how much she will raise from everyone towards her honeymoon:mad:

Anyway, Toots would be mad at me for being so mean so I must shut my gob, head down and batter on. Off to find today's list.
Tuesday - Living Room, Hall & Stairs
    15 minutes ....
Do something from your Toots list, or at least start something if you have nothing you can do in 15 minutes
    30 minutes to spare
Dust any flat surfaces including the hearth
    Got an hour.....
    Tidy away, CDs, DVDs, Books
    Extras
    HHI

Am now finishing making ratatouille and going to prep for marrow and ginger jam as I am sick of seeing all these courgettes. Ripped the plants up on Sunday when I went up to the allotment- will not plant six plants next year!

  • Morning all,
grey and miserable here too today but again a blessing after a tough night trying to sleep. Both windows were open and I still couldn't rest.

Thrifty have to say I agree with you, there comes a point for unmarried couples where a marriage is literally just a bit of paper (and a huge expense!). My mum and stepdad have been together for 25 years now but never married, due to changes with her pension she may have to make that choice but for her it doesn't change anything except the entitlement if she were to pass away and would be a cheap registry thing.
