    Evening everyone :)

Been a busy weekend with Christmas parties for kids, trips out. Sitting down, about to have cup of tea and a slice of cake. Have given myself a mini pedicure and bought some of those cotton gloves and socks to wear with moisturiser. However I am really procrastinating about writing Christmas cards. Don't have that many but jeez just CBA :o

Witching hour currently for DS, sod the cup of tea pass me something with alcohol!

Am waaaaaay behind with sorting Christmas, struggling to get into it at the moment. Need to crack on tomorrow but have so many things on, meeting at school tomorrow about DS, a challenging behaviour course (3rd week), Christmas presents still to buy :eek: not even wrapped a single thing. Decorating has well and truly been put on the back burner.

Hope you are all well :)

Don't worry Bitsy - it will all come together in the end, it always does…..

    Good morning all

Well like Bitsy - and I bet for most of us - December is proving to be quite manic so far. So today I'm not setting foot outside the door, except to go over and see OH of course, and, if the weather is fine, maybe a little walk round the grounds.

My walking went to pot after I hurt my knee and hip - my own stupid fault - I tried jogging. I won't be doing that for a while….I think perhaps I need to get fit before I try running, not try running to get fit iyswim.

Anyway today is catch up day, ironing, finish the dreaded Christmas cards, wrap some presents. Still have a few to buy but just can't face the shops today.

Fab wise, it will be a mini manicure today.

You are all very quiet - hope you are all ok.

Fabbing a bit hit and miss here, have been trying hard to keep my nails painted at all times, and also concentrating on the gallons of body lotion and butter from my stash (the majority of which has been birthday and Christmas gifts over recent years), I am making myself use up all the ordinary ones first and then soon can start on the "posh ones".

I have also been trying to go out in some of my nicer clothes (dresses and skirts) rather than trousers all the time, but slightly hampered by the fact that my physio wants me to wear boots/trainers that lace tightly around my ankles for extra support. The plus side of this is that I have "needed" to buy two lovely pairs of ankle boots, one a denim type blue and the other bright, bright red (and yes I have been wearing my underwear!!! LOL)

Also I am going to personal trainer weekly for work to strengthen my core, arms, legs etc, as I have become very weak in those areas since doing so much less walking and not using stairs at home.

    Good Evening All

Gosh we are quiet on here - suppose we are all busy. busy, busy, what with Christmas just around the corner.

It's nearly the Solstice and today has been really dark and gloomy here. I will be so glad when the days start to lengthen again. I'm really struggling this year with feeling so tired and lethargic - I really have to force myself out of bed at the moment and I'm usually quite an early bird.

I have finished my Christmas present shopping now - except for something nice for OH. Given that he is so limited in what he can do - basically watch TV or listen to music or the radio I was really struggling to come up with any ideas other than DVD's, talking books, and CD's.

Then suddenly I had a brain wave - a fish tank for his room Ta Da.
I asked if he would like that and his face lit up.

Fab Friday tomorrow - so get those glad rags on. DS2 and I are popping into the solicitors tomorrow to sign papers for the house purchase and we are going to "do lunch" - so a nice excuse for me to get glammed up. ;)

    Keeeep fabbing!!!

Fab idea for the fish tank for your OH, I'm sure he will find that really relaxing to watch.

I like the fish tank idea too.:)

I've had my nails done today and tomorrow it's cut and highlights for my hair. So I think it'll be more like a super Saturday for me!

I'm delighted to say that I'm at my lowest weight at the moment which is ideal going into the Christmas period. Most of the gift shopping is done, turkey in the freezer, pigs ready to wrap in their blankets. We're getting there.

No decorating done yet. That's a job for early next week. I hate having decorations around for too long.
  • Not too much fabulising going on here either; work has been frantic with a big push of busyness with everyone wanting stuff done before they go off on holidays and I've been starting earlier and / or finishing later and then trying to do small hit and run trips to shops to get things whenever I can. Apart from fresh food and wrapping up OHs pressies, I'm almost at the stage where I'm thinking 'enough already' and I'm concentrating on trying to make do with things I already have rather than buying more. I need to get OH a main present and I have still no idea what to get.

Healthier eating idea has been hit and miss too and so very hard to resist temptations with a constant stream of chocolates, biscuits and things being brought through the office - but still managed to keep off the pound I lost a couple of weeks back so I guess it could have been much worse. Exercise has been absolutely zero this past week as that spiral of lack of time, tiredness and poor eating choices have all had an impact.

Looking forward to the break and being off work from next Friday for two weeks I hope to devote a good bit of time to 'me' for some exercise, routine maintenance, relaxation and general titivation to counteract the Christmas excess.

Maman - you shame me with your weight loss and maintenance. Well done you.

Well today I finally managed to get a decent hair cut, rescuing it from the disaster from last time. It did cost quite a bit more but it was definitely worth paying the extra. I've booked for a cut and colour at the end of January, don't feel comfortable about putting another colour on just yet.

Had a nice mooch around the charity shops, picked up a lovely wooden butler's tray and a silver plated "Georgian" tea pot and matching hot water jug for £15.
Pity the silverware isn't the real thing but then again that would have cost ££££'s. They look pretty though. Just the thing when I want to play Lady of the Manor and indulge in a bit of "graciousness":rotfl:

Not much other news - hoping to legally complete on DS2's little house this week - fingers crossed. Then come the New Year it will be action stations to get it ready to move into. Looking forward to licking into shape. :D

    Hi all,

Not been on much, has been a bit manic lately. Been putting some extra hours in at work, so hopefully will cover me for the hours off over xmas. Am ending up going down to visit my mum after all, was going to leave it but every time I speak to her she's on about how quiet it's going to be etc and then my in-laws are coming up for a few days and going back at weekend so going to get a lift back with them. Haven't told her yet so will surprise her on the doorstep :rotfl:
Down for a week, bit longer than I really wanted to stop but will give me a chance to catch up with people I suppose. Then when I get back need to get organised with the fabbing for the new year! Butt in year time then :o

If I don't manage to get back on then hope everyone has a wonderful Xmas x
