Need to rehome my jack russell

I wish I'd had a £ for every time one of my dogs had accidentally caught me with his tooth when rough housing. It's an accident.
Would you partner expect you to throw him out as a wife beater if he accidentally caught you when doing something? What happens when you have a child and it goes through the biting/slapping phase? Will it be adopted out?
If you're insisting on getting the dog rehomed offering to anyone in a forum is 100% the wrong thing to do. You don't know who they are. They could be after a care dog or a fighting dog. Will you do home checks?
Contact the local breed rescue who will make sure the dog goes to a good home.Sigless0 -

I do not want to let him go and am desperate to keep him as he is part of the family I plan to ask at our vet on Monday if they know of anyone and I also plan on asking around all my friends and family tomorrow.
!!!!!!?Your vet has better things to do than pander to someone who lets her partner wind their dog up, which culminates in it accidentally catching his stupid face!ad:"You can't stop the waves, but you can learn to surf"

I apologise if my post has offended anyone especially those whose seem to blame me for the incident when in fact I was not even in the house when it occurred.
I just thought that it would be a good place to ask for help.
The whole ncident has really upset me and I did not have anyone else to turn to.
Sorry0 -
I'm almost speechless.
You'd better not have children with this man, given his attitude. What happens when a child accidently hurts him?
I really hope someone comes forward to rescue the poor dog.
Meanwhile keep the dog away from your husband as I don't think you can trust this man not to hurt the dog.
But if the little dog loves your OH and obviously you too, he'll be utterly distraught when you've dumped him. How can you do that to him? Makes me cry for the poor mite.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

The vets is a good place to ask for help. As I said, we rehomed a dog through the vet.0 -

I don't think people are blaming you for the incident, rather they cannot understand your reaction to it.0 -
Nobody is blaming you for the initial incident but you are 100% responsible for the dog and what happens to it, this was not the dog's fault, it was a genuine accident caused by your boyfriend rough housing with the dog.
You say you love the dog and it's part of your family but you obviously don't care as much as you say you do if you have even considered getting rid of it.
You'r boyfriend has given you an ultimatum, the dog gets rehomed or killed. Maybe you should give him an ultimatum too, either both him and the dog stay or just the dog stays and he goes. If he really loves you he would not expect you to get rid of your beloved dog of six years over such a pathetic incident which he caused.0 -

Sorry
No need to apologise OP. The incident really isn't your fault any more than it was your innocent little dogs. It was an accident.
What people are questioning is the way the aftermath is being handled.
No sane person would jump from an accident where two creatures were equally having fun to considering killing one of the creatures involved. Or sending them away, never to be seen again.
Personally I'd like to see you standing up for your innocent dog and yourself. I would recommend training but there is nothing to train for the dog. It was an accident.
The only training I can see is required is anger management for your OH and education about cruelty to animals and how to care for others.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Is your bf marked or scarred?I'm not getting at you, but this can't be the first time he's allowed such rough play with the dog!My two would go crazy if I allowed it, but I have trained them not to, and don't encourage rough play for this very reason:(:("You can't stop the waves, but you can learn to surf"

Harold Wilson once saidEvery dog is allowed one bite, but a different view is taken of a dog that goes on biting all the time. You might as well ask the Wizard of Oz to give you a big number as pay a Credit Referencing Agency for a so-called 'credit-score'0
