Vent - Sexism within schools - Boys & Earrings

OP, how about encouraging your son to follow school rules! When I was at school girls were not allowed to wear trousers. I hated having to wear a skirt, my Dad could of said this was sexist but he told me that they were the school rules & to do as I was told.
Funnily enough it didn't scar me for life!!If my posts have random wrong words, please blame the damn autocorrect not me

At my daughter's school - the rules say one plain stud in each ear (and doesn't say anything about boys/girls) which makes perfect sense to me.
However my 15 yr old daughter now has 6 ear studs, so I warned her she may have to take them out. But she's never been told to remove them - which I put down to her getting on with her work and keeping out of trouble (mostly!). Her friend however, who is often in trouble for talking too much and messing around is regularly told off for her earrings.
I wonder therefore if the school is strict, or whether the op's son has simply drawn attention to himself.XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX:wave:XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX0
