I emailed to ask about my order and the reply was basically the following -
sorry but its been cancelled, browse the website to look for something else!

This is truly an awful way to do business and although it wont do much good I've sent the email below back. I definately wont bother using them again! :mad:

Thank you for your reply however I am appalled at the fact that my order has been cancelled with no explanation. I placed the order via the website for items that were in stock therefore there is no excuse for the cancellation of my order and I am particularly angry that I have had to find out this myself with no email to notify me of the situation. Is this the way that Kays normally treats its customers? As a first time customer I can assure you that this will be my last order with Kays or the associated Littlewoods/Great Universal. I have also noticed on an internet chat forum that your company is gaining an infamous reputation for cancelling orders without notification therefore I can only assume that the company is making millions as it can so easily afford to treat its customers with such disrespect. I would like a response to my email containing a more detailed explanation as to why this order was cancelled and if it was because the items were out of stock I would then like an explanation as to why the website allowed hundreds of customers to continue placing orders?

I've got a brochure from Additions www.additionsdirect.co.uk that says their Sale starts on Wed 27th. But I have been told by someone who works in their call centre that you can get it online today - a day early. And there's loads of stuff for 70% off in it.
I've shopped with this company for years and I have never seen so many big discounts. My friend in the know says they're having a massive clearout as they've got too much stuff in their warehouses! Good for us, bad for them!:T

Littlewoods Direct sale has started, alot of GUS items are now in stock even tho they were cancelled :mad:

We have a Littlewoods Clearance shop in Doncaster which is pretty cool.
On the Great Universal front though, my order was meant to be delivered before 6pm today and has not arrived (although most roads have been closed due to floods) but when i put in my reference number which i got from the email they sent, it is not recognised. Ive tried phoning all the numbers but I aren't getting through on any. No reply to emails. Can anybody advise the best way to contact them and speak to someone please?
