Have a lovely Burns Night up north stewby.

If I said I got frustrated, it would be the understatement of the century! He drives me insane and usually on a daily basis :rotfl: (but I do adore him!) I try to not get upset now but it does still upset me, even after 7 years.

Good on you for going to Burns Night with your parents without him! My OH often refuses to go out with my family, and would never come out with my friends, he prefers to stay in on his own. I would offer to come with you but it's a bit of a drive ;)

Hope you have a lovely shift and Chinese! I'm very jealous as I'm still being strict on my diet. It's working and I'm losing weight but I miss all the unhealthy fatty foods that used to be my diet :rotfl:

Well OH woke me up at 13:00 and asked me if I was still going up the road which I said yes to... So we are now both up the road.
    :)

Thanks for all the burns night good wishes. Yep, we have the Selkirk grace, the haggis, neeps and tatties and of course the whisky.
    :D

Finances have gone bye bye. But we have bought a bottle of whisky and a bottle of wine up for the meal.
    :undecided

In other money news... My dad says my bank account is looking good and that I should be able to pay £600 to my credit card as well as £100 towards the money I owe them!!
Will update numbers on 10th February as that is when my credit card statement comes in.
Going to keep my fingers that this can become a regular monthly payment.
    :o

Hope everyone has a wonderful evening... The haggis is calling so I am off for tea.
    Hugs.

Well... OH has won. The hotel in Barcelona has sold out so we won't be going there.
To top it off he has now given me his budget. So we won't be going anywhere good.
    :(

    Plan is £600 in total!!

Considering it costs about £100 each to get to London and back that it gives us £200 each to fly somewhere and pay for the hotel.
I have now accepted that we aren't going to go anywhere. Not happy about it but have accepted it.

Spending the day looking after a sick OH (I blame the bottle of whisky him and my dad drank, he blames the haggis).
    :p

Hope everyone has a good day.

    Feeling very frustrated today.

OH has gone away to do a training session. We haven't discussed the holiday issue.
    :undecided

My neighbour had a go at me for having three cars (although I technically only have two. The campervan is still my dad's). But he did it in a really nasty way where he shouted a comment across as we were parking OH's car. So I called him out on it.
I have lived in the same street for 11 years and have never once complained about anything my neighbours have done. Yet, according to him, all my neighbours are talking about me.
He says that I should have spoken to all my neighbours before taking the campervan home and parking it in a space. I barely speak to my neighbours (I am not the most sociable of people to be honest. I am too nervous around people). Don't get me wrong, I say hello in the street but I never go round for tea or coffee or anything.
And now I am not going to. Too nervous about people speaking behind my back to go round and try to be friendly.
    :(

Today was a spend-free day which is good.

Heading back to work today after having done no business plan which is a bit crazy. But I am not sure what to write for it. I am not really the most academic of people and struggle to "big myself up" enough.

Sorry to hear about the holiday :(

Have a look at the skyscanner website. You just enter when you want to go and it searches all flights and gives you the prices and destinations so you could pick where you want to go. I went to Milan with two friends in November and choose it as it was cheapest and none of us had been. We paid £60 each for the flights and £120 between us for a triple hotel room for two nights. We stayed in a hotel by gatwick airport and it was about £45 night with breakfast!

Was it April you were looking at? You could fly from Edinburgh for less than £200 each to quite a few places Inc Turkey, Malta, Germany, Poland and lots of others. Just see where is cheap on your dates and have a quick check of hotels. Quite exciting and you may find places you had never considered :D

Part of me wants to go nosey and see but the other part of me is scared to. To be honest... I have already gotten my hopes up twice and then it's fallen through.
    :embarasse

He text me this afternoon (he is down south for a training session) and wrote: "i promise i will also come to a decision by end of sunday for our wee holiday".
I have ignored it and just changed the subject. I don't want to get hurt again.
    :(

I have slept all day so that means I haven't been shopping so that is spend-free day number 18. Two more to go!!
    :D

I am currently looking at holidays for my auntie, mum, cousin and me. That will be in December so will use skyscanner to see what is available. So thank you very much for that tip clippy_girl.
    :)

Hope everyone is having a great day and has a lovely evening.
    Hugs.

So... the February Challenge has hit and I am not number 8 this month which makes me dread it a bit. It sounds stupid but I am quite convinced that is why I manage okay. (like I said, I know it sounds stupid).
I am also not very intelligent so it works out easier for me if all my numbers are the same. I get confused a lot... but it will just be another challenge.
    :o

    So... getting down to business:

    * 15 spend-free days: this is doable. I am hoping no problem. I shouldn't have an issue with the exemptions cause I don't have any real outgoings apart from petrol and food.
    :)

    * I can't pay debts first as the money gets requested at the end of every month... but my dad is in control of that anyways.
    :o

    * Budgets... I will have to figure this one out... and I need to remember to reduce it by £20.
    :)

    * The supermarket thing is a bit trickier as we already buy a few yellow label things and I always think aldi/lidl doesn't really save money as it is a 30 mile round trip to go so we probably wouldn't save anything going. We do mix up morries and tescimos as morries has better meat cheaper whilst tescimos has more choice.
    :undecided

    * Food stuff: I will try harder at this although we don't really have much in the cupboards that doesn't get used up. We have 'smash', beans, soup and stuff like that. Will have a nosey for out of date stuff though. However, I will already have lost as I moved house after 2003.
Going to bulk-make food again cause I am still eating yummy lasagne which I made last month.
    :p

    * Personal development is a bit trickier again... I have a debt free day: 14/12/14. Which I kinda like that date.
    * My mum, dad and OH already know about my debt and there is no-one else in my family I would wish to know about it. I get heaps of support from them so don't feel I need more.
    * I have a wee folder with my debt stuff in it. It keeps track of the savings pots and stuff.
    :)

    * Fitness: I really need to get a move on with this cause January was a failure due to it. I am planning on doing this in February.
    :embarasse

    * Declutter: Going to do a car boot sale to get rid of this stuff. However, I am also being a nice person and stock-piling stuff for my cousin (she is looking for her first house).
I imagine one of the these days I should start using ebay but I am just scared that the buyer claims it's not as advertised or that they never received it or some other issue. I prefer the whole "instant selling and transfer of goods".
    :o

    * I think we are going to have two outings this month. Possbily three. HOWEVER... one is a fully paid for trip to the cinema (thanks to a xmas pressie), one is a trip to a restaurant for a nice meal out and the last one is for my birthday which I won't have to pay for (normally my daddy takes us out on birthdays and it is my 30th!!)

    * Don't drink coffee or tea and it is far too cold for peach lemonade so no coffee shops will be easily done. (besides no coffee shops near where I live and work).
    ;)

To be honest, right now I just want to get my credit card statement in so I can see what the £600 did.
    :o

Fingers crossed it goes okay and we will see how we get on by the end of the month.
Hope everyone is doing well and looking forward to February.
    Hugs.
