So tired of ordering steaks rare and getting them well done.

One of my friends is allergic to cheese - gets migraines. She ordered a side salad which did not specify it has cheese on it.
Comes her food with the side salad with 10-12 cubes of cheese. She asked could she have a new salad with no cheese and explained she is allergic to it.
A few mins later, another bowl of side salad came. It turned out to be the original salad as she had the most dreadful migraine the following day. What they did was to remove the cheese and move some of the other bits around making it look like a new salad. As the cheese was touching the salad, there was probably a minute crumb of cheese as well she consumed.
Why can't restaurants and their staff understand if a customer requests no of a certain ingredient then don't put it on the plate? At least she only gets migranes, not like a nut allergy - could kill them.
Another friend is allergic to mushrooms and was in Pizza Express. Her choice was a pizza with mushrooms and the staff were more than happy to swap mushrooms with another vegetable - she chose spinach instead.This is a system account and does not represent a real person.
