Getting back on track

Thanks everyone (and nice to 'see' you stressed.mum
).
It was very scary, but thankfully all ok.
I'm still feeling rubbish, and starting to think I've got tonsillitis now on top of the cold
I didn't get the invite for free listing, so couldn't put anything on for free, and couldn't be bothered anyway. I did do some relists though, and it definitely wasn't working for me.
I'm going to try and get some more on tomorrow though.
I print my postage at home and just drop off at the sorting office, so that part is not so much hassle. They stamp the proof of posting so it's easy. They are also open longer hours too! I only use the post office/collect plus for stuff I want to send tracked.
There's a big difference in the type of stuff I usually sell and the stuff DH does. Mine often is a pop in a jiffy envelope type things, whereas his always need to be packed in special ways and unusual size boxes. It's really tedious and time consuming!
I do have one good tip though - plastic containers, butter tubs, takeaway containers etc, make BRILLIANT packaging for small, fragile items. They weigh nothing, and are really strong. I just pop them in a padded envelope.
I use these all the time and get loads of comments about how well my stuff is packaged!
DDFW - I hope your computer stops playing up and that you find some more to list soon. I'm sure when I run out of things I'll feel bereft :rotfl:
LAM - hope you manage to stay cold free and that your event goes well! I bet you are fitter than you think."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -
Oh, I forgot to say, I seem to have had a little run on books, I've sold quite a few over the last couple of days, hope it keeps happening!"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0

I managed to get another 33 listings done yesterday :T
Someone has also enquired about buying most of them from me, so we will have to see how that one goes. They already bought a few, so it's hopefully a serious enquiry.
I can't get into my emails today  so can't check up on surveys or anything. Hope that doesn't go on too long.
I did redeem £3.90 in amazon vouchers from topcashback yesterday so waiting for that to come through.
Not much else to report really.
Hope everyone has a good weekend"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -

Well done on the listings - I think I've almost given up any hope of generating any ebay enthusiasm.Good tip on using used food tubs for packing though, will remember that one if I ever get around to selling anything.
Glad baby Jwil is better now - what a scare for you.0 -

Blimey. That's scary but glad master Jwil is in a good place again.
Good tip re the containers, will use that. Nothing listed at the moment but do need to get a few bits together. At the moment am just trying to spend less and then we acquire less stuff.. Then hopefully I won't need to Ebay! Well that's the theory :rotfl:MFiT-T4 Member No. 96 - 2022 is my MF goal

Hello all
jwil - well done on all those sales - hopefully you can work out a deal you and the buyer are happy with - plus if you have more similar stuff maybe they'll want it and that will save listing too
Good plan brizzle - i seem to have adopted it already - i spent £28.20 the other day on something i'd thought about for a month and i'll be returning it this week

Sadly still the illness continuesHe seemed to be perking up, but then was very bad again over the weekend so took him to the docs yesterday and back on antibiotics again.
We are both ill again too, so it's neverending here.
So, nothing done other than relists over the weekend. As it was buy it nows as well as auctions, I converted a few and sold one straight away :T
Hope everyone is well"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0
