is this 4% for a limited time or just there cashback rate ?

    It's for 3 months.
Good if you can arrange to pay holidays and annual insurances at that time.
i know ive posted this before, but can u buy gift vouchers with the 4%? how would they know anway?

I have just bought John Lewis vouchers at Waitrose and I believe I will get the 4% as they went throught a normal till as "goods".

They will know what the till tells them.
e.g. if you get foreign currency at Marks & Spencers it goes through seperate tills and says it's "cash" so goes down as a cash advance and not a purchase.

If you buy gift vouchers and it's on the same till as goods then most likely the till won't be able to tell the difference.
    It's just "goods".

So I would be wary if it's a different till.
  • John Lewis and Waitrose gift vouchers all go through the same till as normal goods and can be bought in the same transaction as goods. Even the till system treats them as goods, they have their own stock number etc. (Complete PITA for the cashier in John Lewis as they have to write down all the serial numbers and the transaction number, and there's a seperate sheet to fill in for each denomination!)

2 questions ( i am already a capital one card holder)

    1. Can existing card holder be elgible for the free travel insurance cover - or is this for new members only? If so, will my parents be covered as i booked for them to go on holiday with me?
    2. When my 4% offer is finished, can my father open an account and provide a 2nd card for me (both in same address)?
    thanks
  • Since Egg refused AGAIN to increase the ridiculous credit limit on my Money card (I am currently having to make weekly payments to keep within my limit with normal spending) (and yes, I waited 3 months from my last request, and no I have no other credit problems) I have today applied for this card.

I'm pretty sure I meet all their criteria (my highest limit is £8,300 on Virgin and my total cc balance is around £7,500 (spread over 4 cards, 2 are LOB deals, 1 is Egg Money and I am paying interest on Virgin atm). I'm not sure I have held any of my current cards for more than 5 years, but certainly have a credit history showing well maintained accounts for around 10 years.

Anyway, I got the message saying they'll contact me within 7 days, so guess I'll have to wait and see...

Please cross your fingers for me!!

Whats the best way to sign up for this??

See UKRewards offer £7.50 for signing up through there link but only payout once you hit £25.

Is there any better sign up links?

Well it's definitely not on Quidco. I only just signed up to Quidco and it looks like there aren't that many cards that you can apply for from there.

Anyone applied recently for this and not received a PIN no? It's like getting blood from a stone, more than 2 weeks now. I suppose they will blame it on the postal delays. They are supposed to be sending another in 3 to 4 working days!
