Thank you, jojo1978 and lisyloo. I was just thinking if I would make some transfer to get more credit limit. Now, it seems not necessary.:T

I applied for this card online last night, and the application seemed to go alright... except that it went through a stage of checking information, then took me straight to the home page.

It was after 9, so had to wait till this morning... rang and apparently have been rejected for the card... Never had any issues before.. could this be a system error?

Anyone else had this issue? Many thanks.

Didn't get the technical fault, but same result. I've been rejected for Cap 1. Never missed a card payment, credit report clean. Haven't been turned down for a card in a very long time. Usually get accepted with CLs between 6k-10k.

Applied for Virgin MBNA the next day - instant acceptance with 15k CL. :p

I think some strange application scoring technique is working against me, or they just don't like the fact I have about 50% salary oustanding on 3 other cards (all at 0%).

Appeal letter went off about two weeks ago, nothing heard.

Virgin AMEX MBNA card. 6 months 0% balance transfer, £50 capped fee. Would have liked the Cashback card to use for purchases though. :( Already have Egg Money, but thats already maxxed out at £200 cashback. :)

I applied and got accepted straight away although I was turned down for the Sony card a few weeks back. Wife was accepted for Sony card though. I am now confused but will keep applying for worthwhile offers:confused:

I received my card on 13/7, rang and activated it when I got home from work. To my surprise, the PIN letter arrived on 14/7 - I would have thought, from a security point of view, they wouldn't have sent this until they knew that the card had arrived.
The acquisition of wealth is no longer the driving force in my life. :)

My PIN arrived 2 days after the card.
You can still use the card on-line or over the phone without a pin.

It's not unusual to have the cards and pin letter arrive the same time. Sometimes even the pin comes first.

But then again were postal strikes last week and more to come so chances are your mail is going to be bundled.
