You can only have 1 card at a time with them, so it will get declined.I've already got a Capital One Platinum card with a low interest balance transfer on it.
Can I apply for this as well or will they bin me off as I already have a Cap One Card?:)Henry James Born 18/03/2011-11 days late!:)

I got my most recent MSP card just after Conran stopped their 1% card (so end of April - early May time?).
I have spent a bit on it, but my statements are showing that I am getting 1% cashback, even though I should be in the 3% introductory period. Has anyone else seen this?
I suppose it's a gamble. If I ditch the MSP card and get the CapitalOne, I won't be able to go back to Morgan Stanley as they are not doing the Platinum cashback card any more!0 -
I also saw cashback at 1% on my statement instead of 3% for the 1st 3 months. I called Customer Services yesterday and apparently this is due to a fault and the correct cashback amount should appear in your 4th month statement.
Well I took the guy's name and I will see what happens. Not much else you can do really.0 -
 This sounds very dodgy. How can we be sure that we'll get our dues paid out? Also, by then I think we may all end up ditching MSP.... it looks like that's what Morgan Stanley's new owners (i.e. Goldfish) want us to do. As you say, we'll have to keep our eyes open and wait and see...0

I should also add that it may be worth waiting to see how American Express reacts to this new card. It could be that they offer something better still...0

Yes, I can back that up - on the Capital One website it says that you can only apply for this card if
"I don't have a Capital One card, and haven't applied for a Capital One card in the last 6 months"
Martin has now put this card in the weekly e-mail!0 -
I have a capital one card I dont use.
Would it be a good idea to cancel the account then apply for the cashback one in 6 months time? If they still offer it of course?0 -

You can call to close your existing account, then reapply as soon as you have the letter comfirming that your account is closed, you don't have to wait 6 months.:D:)Henry James Born 18/03/2011-11 days late!:)

You could always call them and ask if they had any offers as you intend to close thr card. If they offer you nothing, close the card so that you can apply again in 6 months if they have a decent new promotion.

I've got a 2k dental bill coming up so I might go for this. However, at the mo I'm using the original Tesco CC so get my points that make prizes! I wonder which is worth the most - 4% cashback or the vouchers when used to buy an experience. Can anyone do the sums please!
