Thought I would do a post of where I am healthwise. The main area I need to improve is my lung function. I'm currently at 32%, but when it drops below 30% they start considering putting the patient on the transplant list (there are other factors too, but this is the main indication that a lung transplant might be needed).
I'm going to wait until I've had my IVs (that should improve my lung function slightly) and when I'm in hospital I'm going to ask what the best way of increasing it is. I've never been sporty or very active, but I know that I need to get some more exercise (Just Dance on the Wii doesn't really count!). I belonged to a gym around 10 years ago and I really liked the rowing machine, so that might be a good idea, but I will see what the physio recommends first.
I also need to get my weight up so that when I am ill, I'm better prepared to fight infection. My dietician has said she would like me to weigh 59 kilos. I'm currently at 52.7 kilos, so I don't know how realistic that target is because I'm naturally slim anyway and have a very high metabolism. I think I would weigh just as much with or without CF. If the hospital can sort this diabetes issue out (ie, see if I actually have it or not) that should help my weight too.
Breakfast is the main area that needs improving. I'm not really one for breakfast and don't like many breakfast foods, so I often just have one of my 'fat drinks' instead. I'll have a look in the supermarket tonight and see if I can find something I will eat. It will also help with my energy levels in the morning, which I know dip because I haven't eaten enough.
I know I still have to earn money too and am fortunate that I have a job I can fit around my treatments and appointments. I'm not going to push myself, but will try to work in £10 increments. I'm currently on £90 for the month, so am aiming to get to £100 before I leave my mum's.

Thanks HOK3Y and Lou :A
I got to £100 before leaving my mum's. I'm surprised I did as the elderly lady who lives in the flat above my mum fell down. We heard the bang and didn't think it sounded good so spoke to her through her letterbox and she couldn't get up (she's 83 and very frail). So we raised the alarm and the police and ambulance had to come to break the door down and take her to hospital. Poor woman shouldn't be living alone but is very independent and refuses to leave.
Anyway, I'm not doing anymore tonight. I'm going to have my dinner, take a shower, do my meds and have an early night.

Wooo hoo! XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXx
Right breakfast, I don't do breakfast don't like cereal in the morning and toast is boring as well (will eat both at other times)
What about indulgent stuff like Croissants? or Pain au Chocolat. Weirdly I quite liked eating ham in the morning with a croissant.....and those yoghurt things with the granola in the corner. I find yoghurt ok but not milk. am odd
Nutella on toast?
might buy some pain au chocolats for me now!!
big hugs, so glad you are postingXXXXXXXXXXX

Thanks for the ideas Buffy
. I bought some bagels last night and had one this morning, but wasn't that keen. I smothered it in butter but it was just too dry for me. I might try some croissants and pain au chocolat. I'm not keen on yoghurt (especially if it has bits in
), but I'll have a cup of milk each morning and possibly one of my fat drinks (which is like a drinking yoghurt).

We're off to see Captain Phillips tonight with some free tickets. What with that and ferrying the kids around today, I probably won't get much work done. I'm going to aim for another £10 before lunch though.
