Hi everyone

Really sorry I disappeared for a bit. I haven't been well. I've been at the hospital all morning and am being admitted for a few days in the week commencing 28th October. There are lots of things they will be doing, including testing my blood sugar levels to see if I have diabetes or not, giving me IVs (which I will carry on after I'm discharged for 2 weeks in total) and putting me on a new inhaled antibiotic which I have to have a trial for before being given it permanently. Can't say I'm looking forward to it, but at least it's only 3-4 days in hospital.

So bye-bye targets, hello focussing on my health. I'm still working (well, haven't been that much for the past week or so) but will just do what I can.

Hi everyone

Just to let you know, I probably won't post on here much anymore. I'll still be around on the forums, but I don't feel that I can justify a DFW diary when I'm not actually concentrating on that. I'm going to focus my attention on keeping myself off the transplant list instead, so not much DFW stuff is going to be happening in my life anytime soon.

I disagree that you cant continue your diary & from a purely selfish point of view I like to know you are ok.
Can we reach some sort of compromise?

Thanks for the lovely replies :A. It's not that I don't want to keep posting, it's just that it's not going to be stuff like 'I've cleared £100 from my CC' (as it should be), it's going to be more like 'My lung function is up to 34%', which I didn't think would be that interesting for people to read.

So I'll keep posting, as long as I don't bore people to tears

Dear Emz

Just to say how sorry I am to hear that your health has worsened but it sounds as if you are in very good hands. Your indomitable spirit will see you weather the worst of this latest setback (together with all the positive vibes and cheering from the sidelines by your many admirers:j:j)

Being a DFW is not just about the successes in wiping pounds from our debts, its often more about the trials and tribulations along the way that scupper our best laid plans. No one who has followed your story could ever be bored reading about how you cope with all that life throws at you. So please, please, please keep posting whenever you feel up to it. Your many fans demand it!!!!

In the meantime please concentrate on putting yourself first for a change. You are always there to help others in your family so let them give you plenty of TLC for a while now. You are so lucky to have a family living close by and I'm sure they will all want whatever is best for you. And get your OH to pull his weight more too (including putting his foot down where unwelcome visits from his pushy,unfeeling parents are concerned:eek:)
