  • I have been so busy this week.

DDD had a good birthday and was happy with all her presents. Bought her a couple more small presents so the total spend including the 2 cakes and meal for her friends was £184.98.

Now I need to turn our attention to Xmas, the plan is to spend £200 on each DC. On top of this we have another 13 present to buy and also have 2 birthdays and 2 Xmas party's as well.

The hope is to do it all for £800 but will need to sit down and plan this.

Thankfully DH had some OT this wee, 8 hours so that will help.

Pay day next Friday and I am afraid we are in the OD again 😞

I over spent on our food budget by £20 but I am happy with this.

Window cleaner has just been so better find £6 to pay him.

HM soup bubbling away and will make some cottage pie, spag bol and lasagna to do dinners over the next week as we have another busy week ahead.
  • good luck with your savings :) I'm in the same position as you although I want to save £25k as quick as possible (am thinking 5 years is far too long for me to wait :p ) as we'd like to be on the property ladder before we're 40 preferably! :)

  • Have had more spends this week

Totally forgot (though god knows how) we have a friends wedding coming up so £50 spent on a wedding gift. I really don't mind as they are good friends (that's why I can't believe I forgot). Still don't need to spend on a new outfit as have clothes that will do and the reception is being held in a bowling club so won't cost the earth in drinks.

Work done for another week though they did say there were extra hours going. I felt bad saying no but I am struggling this weather with my fibro.

Meeting a friend briefly tomorrow so will find out from here what her kids want for Xmas. We don't buy for the grown ups just the kids. Once I have spoken to her I just need to check a few family members the. I can get on with shopping.
  • Need to write down a few things.

£10 electric put on yesterday as ran out so we spent £110 this month - budget is £100.

A few Xmas presents bought £132.00 on DS and £9.00 on my sister.

Wrote 2 chqs that still have to clear £21 and £32.

In the OD will be in by about £300 by pay day :-(

Kids have several xmas fayres coming up and to be honest I can't be bothered with them. The kids buy utter tat and this clogs up the house and costs me money. So going to be a scrodge and not go to any this year.

I have no motivation at all today in fact I could just go to bed but kids will be home from school and they have after school activitys.

Dinner will be oven fish and chips with beans.
  • Bank account is sitting at £0.00 all ready for payday tomorrow.

    Income this month is £2,434

    Outgoings (Bills) - £1,181.91

    Outgoing (Food, Elec, Petrol) £540.

    Chqs £53

    Leaves £659.10.

Well that's the plan but we will see.

Dinner will be something egg based as we have eggs to use up.

Kids have after school activity's again so will be rushing around again.
  • Checked the bank today (trying to do this every day) and nearly on track as above. After all bills we will have £647.97 left.

This is taking into account the MOT I forgot about. Out of this £647.97 I need to pay out for 4 birthday present and start the Xmas shopping. Also have 4 nights out between OH and I before Decembers pay but one of mine will only cost about £10 as was paid upfront.

Not doing much today as feeling really sore and I have run out of my prescription painkillers so need to put in another order.
  • Had a few spends today. £31.89 on shopping but that came out of the tin of money for food. £12.00 on a Xmas present for DH switched so comes of the £647.98 in the account.

Bought something for a friend but she is sending the £24.60 through internet banking so will get that today so doesn't really count.

Have done a quick Hoover and tidy around and am going to spend the afternoon doing some looking online for Xmas presents.
