Thanks for posting this tony. Just to let fellow MSE's know that there is a section called "user cases" and it contains other peoples working dial plans, including mine. all you then need to do if make a few small changes and you are good to go!

i have a broadband line for free calls but also a landline for incoming calls (as the broad band number is an 0845 number!). is it possible to have 1 handset which both lines plug into and the phone knows to receive calls from one line and make calls through the other line?

    Any help would be great!

I am setting up a business and wondered what was currently the cheapest provider for using VoIP to make calls to UK mobiles would be?

At 16p a minute, Skype is expensive!

Does anyone have any good ideas? Many thanks!

It is possible to have 1 telephone adaptor box (ATA) that has whats called an FXO port - this allows you to use both landline and VOIP (Broadband line) from 1 ordinary phone handset.

Log in as admin, select the regional tab.

Near the bottom of the page is a couple of gain settings, change them to 0 and try that.

Regional | Miscellaneous | FXS Port Output Gain

Each increase of 3db should double the audio power, but the audible effect is less than that.

Anyone tried using voip via mobile broadband. I am thinking of plugging my dongle into my pc, routing the internet out through the network card to the voip router, and trying to use the 3 mobile bb to voip.

anyone tried this already and how well does it work?
