Has anyone managed to set up a unlocked PAP2 with BT Home Hub? Ive got a PAP2 connected to a belkin wireless router on cable and it works great. Friends have now asked if it will work with their home hub. I said id ask on here before buying them a PAP2. Will be using it with one of the betamax companies
Thanks

The old BT home hub binds port 5060 for it's own sip service and this is not adjustable. I know you can use different ports in the PAP2 config, but you could get problems with the Sip clashing and low quality calls as you probably won't be able to prioritise the external PAP2. Best thing for them to do is dump the Bt Home Hub and use a normal router which has QoS0 -
I like it.0

Betamax VOIP in numbers are available again for 1 Euro. I thought I would get a normal UK local number like in the old days. But they gave me a 056 number. I feel really annoyed as the text on their site said I would "get a regular UK number". Wasted 1 Euro!! Just though I'd post it here so other people don't get ripped off.
I found that Tesco internet phone gave a "normal" number :-)0 -
I am just wondering where are the best places to buy an ATA or a TA 612v?
eBay seems to have quite a few unlocked pap2s.
Is that the best ATA for home use?
The idea is I would have 2 voip providers - Sipgate for incoming and a Betamax provider for outgoing.
Any suggestions geatefully welcomed.0 -
I bought a unlocked PAP2 from Ebay 12 months ago, and which has used VoipStunt faultlessly.
No problems at all.0 -
