I would dearly love my wee girl cat to visit me.its two months since she died and nothing at all like this has happened to me. I wish it would.

A few years back I visited my father who I hadn't seen for several years.

I went for a walk around the garden, and found a very long thin cat, which followed me back in the hall way.

Later I asked my father where the cat had gone, as he had only fed one cat that night, he looked at me in an odd fashion, and asked me to describe the cat, he went sort of pale and said Kaz, that was Blackie and he died 5 years ago, you couldn't possibly of seen him, ....................but I did and he followed me.................

I have to admit to being a skeptic regarding spirits and visits from people/animals who have left us. I certainly haven't experienced anything like that myself.

However, sometimes my old cat, Blackie, has this mad moment, unlike his occasional dashing around the house mad moments which aren't so frequent now he's getting on, when he seems to be playing with another cat. You know, the way they kind of wrestle and play rough and tumble. I do wonder whether he's playing with the spirit of our first cat who introduced Blackie to the household as a stray...

My dog's been back quite a few times. I often hear a little cry coming from another room from him, like him asking to go out for a wee. I've seen him before as well when I was getting my dogs leads from their room. I saw the white back and a black/ brown patch on the back and assumed it was one of the boys following me and then I turned around and they weren't there and they were both stood in the hallway, with their coats on! So I was like 'Well, it wasn't you...so..Prince.' He must've wanted to come for a walk.

No visits here yet. I buried my husband and lost Pudding my cat a year ago this past week, plus I lost my other cat Jazzy just before last Christmas. I have all their ashes and don't find anything odd about it.

Will be making a trip to St Andrews next Spring to do some sprinkling.

I left this thread for a while as I ended up being too upset.

I have read it all again and feel so much better about my own thoughts.......stuffed dog!?.....i actually contemplated when max was near the end having a norwich terrier rug (all friends thought I was sick). To be honest I would have done anything that kind of meant he was still here in some form that I recognised.

Part of him sits in my bookshelf, with his pic, and his collar, and his hair, and his toy.
Yep...still at it, working out how to retire early.:D....... Going to have to rethink that scenario as have been screwed over by the company. A work in progress.
  • As you know, Meri, I have a very low opinion of mediums.

However - one day I visited my mother and told her my cat was in the front garden under the honeysuckle when I came in through the gate. Trouble is, the cat I'd absentmindely said 'hello, mog' to had been put to sleep months before.

And I've thought I've heard a cat twitting about upstairs, jumping off things in my bedroom when my two have been slumped in furry heaps on the sofa.

If there is a moggy afterlife, my lot are deliberately screwing with my head. As they would do their best to achieve throughout their lives.
I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.

Yes, I am indeed aware of your opinion of mediums Jojo! lol, but there is a difference between deliberately bilking people of money when you have no talent as a medium and those who genuinely want to help and hardly charge enough to cover their time and expenses, eh?
still- doesn't really apply as we are just discussing our 'personal' experiences with past pets! brave of you to come on here and tell us of your experience.............(Don't worry, I wont breathe a word of it down in The Arms)!
