:j Its the weekend.. :j
Always good.. and not working so even better...!!!
London trip for dd worked out ok in the end, despite the school giving us all the wrong times so we were expecting them back an hour earlier than they actually were..bloomin schools can never get it right...! And I managed another evening visit although didn't get home till 8.30 and was shattered, especially then waiting up for dd till 11...
Today I have done my early morning mum chauffeur for dd to work, followed by the food shop, home for washing, hoovering and cleaning.. oh the joy ......
Can't put my christmas tree up as I've still got this rather large broken treadmill in the way that OH needs to move..... but he's at footie and working tomorrow so I will have to work round it as I want the tree up this weekend...
More washing and ironing planned for tomorrow, plus out for some christmas shopping...
I have been trying to persuade lovely mother that she doesn't really want the 11k new car she has just ordered and should give it to me.. she can then have my 13 year old car that needs 3 lots of work doing..... :rotfl: She didn't go for it.. can't imagine why...!! I am going to bite the bullet and take it to the garage next week for a look.see... lovely mother will loan me money if needed.. hate to increase my mum loan debt again but needs must as I can't work without a car.. will post more when I know...!!
Right off to hang the last load of washing for today, open the wine and watch some rubbish on tv... and then cook my exotic meal of fishfingers, chips and baked beans.. I know how to live...

So another Monday rolls around and at least its my last full week before the christmas holidays..
Feeling a little low today, not sure why can't put my finger on it... need to snap out of it and as BS says be happy...!!!
On the postives I put up my christmas tree yesterday.. can't see it mind when sitting on the sofa as its behind the stoopid treadmill we need shifting...!!! Also sat and watched christmas dvd with dd, that was nice..... also did a bit more christmas shopping, feeling quite organised with that now.. just need to start wrapping...!!!
Its a littlehere today, not as bad as the north who have the horrible white stuff but a nasty cold wind.. brrr.....
Have bitten the bullet and been to the garage with the car, they are going to take a look at it tomorrow.. not looking forwards to the news I have to say...... will update tomorrow..
Other than paying for it.. there is also the fact that I need it for work and getting dd to her work and of course OH is on shift and lovely mother doesn't have a working car at the moment.. so hoping it can wait until dd's broken up next tuesday and try and fit it in to a 2 day slot.. I can get the train/bus to work and of course I do have full use of my legs so can still get around..
Right off to make a cuppa and hope that perks me up... I need a kick up the ***
Hope all keeping warm and getting christmassy wherever you are...!

OK.. the good news.. or bad news.. depends on how you look at it...
My lovely little car does need some brakes.. (helps to stop...) and a new clutch...!!! The bad news being the cost.. £445... Now the good news is between my car fund and my emergency fund I can afford it without having to borrow from lovely mum.. :T I had envisaged over £1000 so am very pleased with the quote given...
Now not keen on not having an emergency fund so will have to work hard to get that built up again asap.... I will formulate a plan....
So will get car booked in as soon as I can work out 48 hours when I can do without it....
Updated freezer inventory, come end of the month/early jan all yellow stickered shopping must cease and we will be eating what we have ready for a defrost of both my freezers... my grocery budget will be pleased...!!!
Playing mum cab tonight and tomorrow so will get out and do an evening visit on one of them.. still only completed 10% of the months work and only working another 8 days this month, assuming I don't take time off next week to sort the car.. oh well I will do what I can do as other work things keep getting in the way...

Afternoon,
Have booked car in for work next week, 2 days without my little car.. But have organised OH to do dd's work runs and he has offered to pay half so my emergency fund will stay in tact. :j
I won £30 at christmas work do yesterday for a competition I had forgetten I had entered.. result... so £5 back to the charity, £10 into dd's 2016 trip pot, £5 into dd's driving lesson pot and £10 on dinner out with lovely mother...
Need to get on and finish my christmas shopping so that's a task for the weekend... and its nearly friday.. :j

I know the news wasnt quite as positive as you may have hoped for the car but less than half the worst case is great!! Well done re paying for it as well SO liberating isnt it? x

Blooming schools... just got a text to tell me dd was late this morning so has a detention.. well I know she wasn't as I dropped her off, and these are sixth formers, surely its time they were treated like adults.... bit cross.. dd's teacher is sorting it apparantly...
Went to one of my favourite work places for a visit this morning and they gave me a big chocolate panettone...! I don't have much of a sweet tooth but the others in the household do so it will be put to good use! And came in a lovely tin..Its the little things in life that make you smile..!
No money news, all ticking along, weekend's nearly upon us again and only 13 days till the BIG day...!!!
