    I'm back....

So today is just a normal day for me as OH is working and dd is having a pj day.. bit like yesterday for her...!!

Lovely quiet relaxing christmas day, I managed to not burn dinner, did burn my hand mind.. hazard of the job...!!! I visited my relatives whilst OH and dd lazed around and then I cooked dinner whilst OH was in the pub.... think he got the better deal...!! we then chilled and watched movies till 11.30...

i got lots of lovely presents including £90 of gift vouchers, loads of nice smellies and £200 cash...

Today I have done lots of normal things like washing etc. and been to town to look for a new handbag.. it is a need not a want as I hate buying bags and shoes.. didn't find one I was willing to part with my cash for, never mind I will have a look next time I'm in town.... then went and did the food shop...! Saves doing it tomorrow.. got some bargains...!!

Tesco finest lobster tails £15.. for £2.25.. and tesco finest monkfish in prosciutto with a sauce £15 down to £2.25... so that's possible NYD sorted.... Also picked up a turkey.. rolled joint.. think easter... down from £10 to £2.49...

Tonight i'm going to chill out in front of the tv with fish fingers, chips and b.beans... really festive food.. I did have a turkey sandwich for lunch...!! And then tomorrow up with mum's taxi as dd is back to work....

Hope everyone is enjoying the festives whatever you are choosing to do...

  • Hi Puzzcat,

Great to hear you had a lovely Christmas, amazing that you got all those vouchers and cash, i'm very jealous.

Wow your freezer inventory is amazing. You have enough food in there for about 6 months.:T.

We have lots of meat joints in the freezer but I have realised how rubbish I am at being inventive with meals. I could do with some cookery courses :o.

What do you have planned for New Years?.

Hi Steph, I posted my answer on your diary...!!

My reduced food ban is coming into place in the next week or so in order to work through the list and get to defrost the freezers.. I'll let you know how long it takes...!!!

Up early doors to drop dd to work this morning.. I have a sore neck.. not sure why haven't exactly done anything strenuous... well apart from eating...:rotfl: so have yet to do anything practical in the house apart from washing...!!! Hoovering can wait I have decided to give my hetty a hoover a festive break...!!

Will go and clean the bathroom shortly and in no time it will be time to pick dd up again.....

    Money News..

Have updated bank account and now have the pricely sum of £4 in it.. I have purchased a refurbed cheapy phone off ebay as my year old one keeps breaking and i'm fed up of it and not due a new one until summer.. so that was £20..... on the upside I have the money to pay myself next week and will actually start the year with £130 more than last having checked back my books.... I also had to use my christmas cash last year to keep the house going due to OH's work pay/not working etc.. hoping this doesn't happen again this year but won't know until next week so although I need to buy my bag I won't spend any other cash until I know....

2 days work for me next week, and a trip to the panto...!!!

Roll on 2015.. I want to get going again on the money saving/debt busting routine...!!

£10 of 20p's ready to bank for holiday 2015....

    That's about it for today...

Really didn't feel very well as the day wore on yesterday so had a few hours kip in the afternoon... felt better this morning, but now feel a bit grot again.. obviously fighting the bug..... lovely mother is poorly and don't I know it.. she had rung me 3 times before 11 this morning... but i'm sure its just the bug and will keep my eye on her...!!

Did get OH to do some housework.. :T before he disappeared out for yet another days social/football.. so he hoovered.. I did washing, made up the spare bed for ss, and cleaned the bathroom and kitchen.. I then went into town and spent £23.20 on a new bag.... I also bought some christmas cards... and I bought some wrapping paper when I went in on boxing day.. head start for Christmas 2015...

So I have £175 ish left of my christmas money which I have tucked away in case I need it for boring house stuff next week.....

Have finally listed my sellable items on Ebay.. Any profit made is for dd's big £3k school trip in 2016....

No other news.. will pay myself tomorrow so I can withdraw the car money to get the car tax that is due on Thursday... and back to work tomorrow.... ONLY for 1 day though so I think I can cope........ and then 3 more days off and working friday.. then weekend.. then back to normal...

Is it too early to take my decorations down..??? :rotfl: Don't think we have had the tree lights on since Christmas day.. not a lot of point when its just been me sitting here....how very MSE... :money:

Right away to drink a cup of tea and then find some tat to watch on the tv, followed by an early night for me.....
