    Happy Monday...

I received a phone call this morning from the FOS. I complained to them about Creation charging me 9% interest which meant that on my payment of £36, they charged £32 interest..

Well.. Creation won't freeze the interest but have agreed to drop it to 3% which will be about £10 a month, I can live with that.. they are my only interest charging creditor and £10 interest on a total 60k debt can't be bad....

They have also agreed to refund interest and charges up to and including March totalling £297.....:T I assume this will come off the balance I owe them, can't wait to update my SC statement at the end of March...

Nice way to start the week....!

    Morning Puzzcat,

Hope you didn't mind my birthday suggestions :o. Sounds like hubby did well out of it without going to those extremes :rotfl:.

Well done on tackling FOS & creation. Abit rubbish that they won't completely cancel interest, but fab that you have managed to get it knocked down so low. Nothing worse than having interested piled on after your payment which virtually cancels it out . Look forward to seeing the new total when they knock off the refund. Give yourself a big pat on the back for that. :T

Heading in the right direction, Keep smiling xxx

I can only dream of this at the moment, would be brilliant if ours do this. I still think I'm not in debt enough but until it all starts I just don't know what is going to happen. LOL, not in debt enough @ a similar 60K.

1st letter has come from a creditor so the cogs are whirring :p

Great news on the Creation deal though.

Hi SS and BB...Thanks for popping in...

:j Its Friday again.. my the weeks are flying around this year...its a little scary! I am now in my fifth month of my dmp, 5 payments down...?? rather a lot to go..... never mind its all in the right direction..

Very little money news this week... One Poll now up to £3.15..
My Gas/Elec supplier has only taken a partial payment this month, but having done my meter readings, if we are careful what is currently in credit hopefully will last us until the next payment so means I am £47 up this month in the bank..No payment for water or council tax either, but I do have RAC and a prom dress to pay for so should all balance out..!!

Has been a quiet working week, no overtime available at the moment.. boo.... but 2 in the bag for payment end of march..yeah....

Nice weeekend forecast so planning on sorting my pots in the garden HS17772.gif as this year I want to grow some veggies and herbs/salad stuff as I won't be away for a long holiday in the summer.. more boo....

Although I was invited to the Caribbean in a fortnights time.. would only cost me £100 + spends.. but no... Have still not ruled out doing something in July as DD finishes school early with GCSE's this spring.. Will see how the pennies go..

Hope everyone has a fab weekend and we all get some vitamin D in us..!

Hi Puzz - wow you have some will power turning down a £100 trip to the Carribbean!! Well done!
Glad things are ticking along smoothly for you and well done on the Creation thing.

Halifax have passed my debt on to Apex like they did with you. Rang them today, they've put the account on hold until they hear from SC. Also updated the details on SC website. Did your account number for payments stay the same? That's all I sorted on the phone - is that similar to your experience with them? They were perfectly nice and friendly, phew!! I'll send them the standard i'm on a DMP letter at the weekend - did you get any other correspondence from them or was that it?

Have a good weekend, hopefully its going to be a nice one!! Schmalf xx ;)

    Hi Schmalf,
I just replied on the dmp thread...Didn't receive any other paperwork from apex after the initial letter. The account number was different and was on said letter, that was one of my questions to them! Had no issues with payment going through, I just updated sc website, didn't speak to sc. Apex also confirmed no interest, the account has now defaulted and they send annual statements but you can ring anytime and ask for a balance if you want too.
Hope that helps and enjoy the spring weather this weekend.
    Love Puzz. Xxx

Another weekend done and dusted.... and now into double figures of march...

So this weekend, Saturday lots of housework, washing air dryed on the line, small spends in the local town. Sunday much the same, did buy my seeds and got OH to pick up grow bags and compost... very mse as he pays then!! I bought runner beans for the grow bags, and then will plant in pots - spring onions, chives, salad leaves, rocket, carrots and chilli's. My friend is growing tomato plants and will donate when they are ready....

Made a decision at the weekend that I need to start sorting out me, its alright the money side now being sorted but nothings changed in what i'm doing.. I'm bored, probably lonely as OH is out so much and DD a teen who likes her own company.. I need to shift this stone i'm carrying so my first job is to rejoin WW. I have found a meeting and will go tomorrow evening. The positives of this... gets me out of just sitting on the sofa, doesn't cost too much, might meet nice people and will then lose the weight with the threat of a weigh in each week.

I've been a gold member in the past, its just this last 6--8 months i've got lazy.. time to shift my *um......

Then its project hair.. I've not had a cut since July last year.. am going to book into a reasonably cheap hairdressers for a cut and then will dye it myself with a dye I bought last year and haven't used yet...

Also sorting/decluttering/selling for cash etc... this project needs to be started. I will start tonight..... Think my bedroom first. I will remove 15 items and not leave until I have done that....

Not been feeling very well again, but am ignoring it and hoping it goes away.. at least i'm not on holiday this time if I do succomb...

May be a NSD today, not had one yet in March... do need some oil for fried eggs.. (First weigh in tomorrow, it will be salad next monday..) but could do scrambled instead.. that's my current plan...

Nothing else to report, we (as in OH and I..) are going on a rare night out next saturday.. think I will drive, save the calories even though he would pay for a cab...

    Onwards and upwards....

Excellent news Puzzcat re creation. Ours is starting to gather pace but still 3 weeks till first DD.

Good luck getting active again, know the feeling have been trying to get going again since January and it's not going so well at the moment :o

We went up to Edinburgh for a surprise 60th birthday on Friday. Also used the trip to collect our caravan from Dumfries. Its a tourer that we sited for a few years so no towing, but due to DMP we can't afford it now and have decided to spruce and sell the van for the emergency fund. It's a few years old but will still get a couple of grand.
