Hi Nic, It is a very positive step forward, I know dmp's aren't for everyone but I love mine and unless I sold our house there is no way I could keep going paying all my debts and that was just the minimums. To finally see the balances going down is worth much much more than a good credit record. Good luck with your journey and do keep popping in!

Totally agree Puzz! Our credit ratings are already poor and the last thing we'll be wanting to do when we're debt free is get more credit! :rotfl:

    Hey Puzz,

did you also send a token payment to your current account with the overdraft? did you use a paying in slip for that?

    sorry for the constant questions

Hi pd, yep I just sent the same letter adapted if needs be to all with a £1 each, no paying in slip needed just put the account details on the letter.

Day 6 of 9 and just starting to feel a bit better.... managed a tesco shop although I kept having to fan myself and was coughing and spluttering my way round.. the downside was its hard to choose food for the week ahead when you have no appetite..

So 3 more days then back to work.. I'm sure i'll be full of beans on monday....

Shame I didn't manage to do any of my ot visits, may be able to squeeze one in on saturday...

Have noticed my energy company have not taken my dd this month, ususally 1/2nd of month... I have just fixed with them again, but no idea why they haven't taken it, have tried to call 5 times, held on for 10 minutes, and cut off 4 times... so have sent an email, rubbish customer service contact...

Nothing much else to report... 7 days till pay day.. :j Still got some pennies in the bank. Have enough cash for dd's plans fri/sat... I love the 'its so and so's birthday and we need to put something in a card... translates as mum you need to buy a card and put a tenner in it.... oh well I didn't go out for lunch with the girls today, didn't seem much point as not hungry so there goes that tenner....

Up to £37.50 on one poll.... £2.50 to go.. and received my £5 L2S voucher for my christmas pot that's looking a little low with only £15 in it.. I really must get on with some more surveys...!!!

4th payment to creditors next Tuesday then the new statements start arriving.. :T

  • Wow fourth payment? I cant wait for that to happen. Its the compulsiveness and impatience in my character. The reason inlost so much money as well! Grrrr

Sucks you are feeling ill on your time off. But also lucky i guess, money wise, unless you get paid sick that is. I don't.
Looking to start a DMP for over 50k of debt.
  • Hi Puzz

Sorry you are still feeling poorly. Just typical during your week off

Fab news on making your 4th payment. Can only think that there is a delay because of the switch over with the electric companies. As long as you keep the money for it in your account then I guess it will go out soon.

Hope you feel better tomorrow x

Hi pd, you have to treat a dmp as a marathon not a sprint, there are no quick fixes!!
I do get sick pay and I could convert my holiday to it, but not sure I can be bothered. The upside of being ill this week is it has made me rest, instead of running around like usual!!!

  • Hi Puzzcat, told you I was reading.

I'll subscribe and follow your journey, I'm not one for a diary myself, but it sounds like we are in debt for the same reasons, the same amounts and some terrible snowballing :D
