So another Monday.... and back to work.. I was worried the alarm at 6 may be a shocker but instead OH decided to have a coughing fit for half an hour at 4.40 so 6 would have been a lie in....!! Never mind, half way through the day and still upright.. me anyway.. don't know how OH is fairing....

Have been to the office, booked another week's leave for the last part of the easter holidays.. hopefully I won't be ill for that one!!!! Have got a busy week planned but nothing that won't wait until tomorrow...

No money news... SC pay the creditors tomorrow and Payday Thursday...:T Going to go and bank that £10 of 20p's that have been sitting in my kitchen all half term, more pennies for christmas..

Signed up for another RM survey so that will be another £5 L2S voucher in March. OH's birthday in March and not enough in my birthday budget account to do much with.. shall have to think on that one....What do you buy a man that doesn't need anything...

Roll on Thursday so I can move money around.... its the little things you k now....:D

Hi pd, My loan was with my bank where I also had overdraft and cc. I sent letter and token payment for them both to my branch. I cancelled the dd for the loan and they kept resetting it up and then I'd cancel it again...we got there in the end and all 3 of those accounts are interest frozen...They make up a third of my total debt so pleased with that!

I just made the cheque payable to me with the loan account number next to my name.

    PAYDAY..:j

So have sat and done my books and balanced my bank account and moved my pennies into my many online saving accounts.... I did get paid a little overtime this month so that's gone into my overpayment/venice pot.. I should manage another little bit of overtime for March but not sure if there will be any after that.. shame..

Up to £38.45 on one poll... so close.. should get payout soon which will then take about a month to arrive but as that's earmarked for wedding fund in August there's no rush....

On the positive.. March is round the corner which means boot fair time is upon us nearly... must get clearing the loft, we have loads of stuff to sell and this all makes pennies for my different pots....!

Now will just wait for the statements to come in from my lovely creditors so I can ensure my SC balance is accurate.. ( to creation who have been the only one I have to change each month due to interest being added..). No word from FOS or creation yet, think it may take 8 weeks or more.... Once I have all my correct balances I can do my percentage decrease...

I have dropped into the 58k's.....:T Which condsidering 4 months ago we were stuck in the 60k's is pretty good going...

Right best get off and earn some more pennies...

Hi Puzz well done on your great start to the DMP journey dropping to the 58ks already!! My first payment went to the creditors on the 25th - pretty sure you know how good this feels!!!!! Seems to have been such a long time getting to the 25th - soooo happy its all up and running at last! The debts gone up while ive been waiting but hopefully will start to reduce now - going to log onto SC later and update things so I can get the real picture of where I'm at. Don't think i'll bother trying to get any of it back if all the creds play nice and stop the interest fully - feel like its best not to rock the boat too much and hope they forget all about me for the next ??????? years!! Love Schmalf x

    Hi Schmalf,
Lovely to see you and lovely news that your dmp is up and running!! It's exactly how I felt with regards to the interest loading during start up, I'm not rocking any boats either just nice to see the figures finally decreasing. Do pop back and let me know how your getting on. Xxx

Friday at last... although the week has gone quickly and its been a busy one... Have secured 2 overtime visits so they will be paid in March...:D

One poll... on £39.95.... how typical is that.. hope to pick up a survey over the weekend so I can cash it in... Also got paid £3 pinecone survey.. every penny helps...!!

No social plans for the weekend.. I must try and locate something for the OH's birthday next weekend, he helpfully doesn't mind what he gets and whatever it is, it will have to fit into my budget..... So a trip to town on Sunday.. tomorow will just be house stuff, need to start sorting for the first boot fair at the end of the month if i'm doing it..

No plans tonight, a quiet one in front of the tv with dinner from the freezer and some red wine....

Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker
    Hi Puzzcat,

Well done on getting into the 58k's :T. Its amazing how we can chip away at it with abit of determination.

I must admit that hubby and I haven't bought each other a present in years. Have been up to our eyeball in debt for so long, that we are always broke when we get to birthday time :(.

Thinking frugally - Could you not cook your oh his favourite dinner. Steak or something and then abit of a bedtime treat ;):o:o:p:D... It's free :rotfl:

Well done with all the surveys and overtime booked. You have such a great plan for this year, keep going xxx

Hi ss, I did giggle at your birthday idea! It was one of my thoughts to take him away for a night somewhere but my birthday pot would have struggled this year so that will have to wait!! I did get him a t-shirt, some new cufflinks, posh deodorant and shower gel (on offer), moisturiser because he keeps stealing mine and some chocs and jelly beans from dd. Total spend £36, £7 used a gift card I had, £25 from birthday pot and £4 out my bank. He always gives me a pile of cash for my birthday so he spends a lot more but doesn't have to give it any thought!
One poll reached payout £40 to go in the wedding fund for August.. started again and currently on 30p...
All jobs done for the weekend, lamb shank been in slow cooker since 10am, just got potato dauphinoise to make, then tv and wine..
Also picked up a duck crown reduced in m&s from £9 to £3.60, so that's gone in the freezer to join the rest of my yellow stickered stash!
