So is the carpenter - he's already fitted the door from the dining room into the utility, which apparently hasn't had a door for many many years. Our DR used to be the kitchen and the utility used to be the breakfast room, and before that the garage - I'm just recycling rooms :rotfl:
I'm sure I remember you saying that you'd found your perfect house when you put in an offer ....
Thinking of you, Dusty, and your friend.
On a roll here. I've been flat out busy since before 8.00am - absolutely unheard of (for me). Ebay piccies takes (and mostly deleted once I'd uploaded them and realised they're out of focus), gibble shoved in car boot for delivering when I'm out and about, dog walked before it started raining, washing up done, bacon sandwich made and scoffed, two pots of coffee decluttered, listy amended and considerably lengthened ....Better is good enough.0 -
Morning all
Late starting today, was unwell in the night but raring to go after a jolly long catch up sleep.
Dusty I am thinking of you and your friend today xx
Bossy you have such lovely in-laws, your stories always make me smile :A
I think I will do an about turn mid-week and keep to my own lists. Reason is that I keep getting distracted and start other jobs. I think I might be an autumn-cleaner like HoneyBear
Yesterday I managed to pull up a corner of my LR carpet with a bread knife and kitchen scissors. I am not DIY minded. The carpet is needs to go and I've been meaning to do it all this year but now I want it done immediately. I also washed my beanbag-type things, sorted the magazine rack and dusted the pictures & lamps. Piggers there is enough dust in this corner alone to knit a cardigan sleeve
Also yesterday I:- took glass to recycle bank
- paid in cheques and cash
- bought a new ironing board cover - yes me, who hardly ever irons - what is wrong with me????
- put new ad in newsagents window
- printed more flyers
Today I will:- write & post S's card
- post CT form
- post check-a-trade form for the lovely gardner man
- pick up meds
- take more glass to the recycle bank - I walk so can only take a bit at a time. Honest.
- order certs for V
- de-gibble the LR ready for more carpet ripping
I hope everyone has a good day.*If you have nothing nice to say... say nothing*"Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that." Martin Luther King Jr0 -

I was actually thinking about washing my curtains the other day, they have not been washed since i moved in 4 and a half years ago am scared to touch them incase they fall apart lol!0 -
Just having lunch. DD sat with a dolly on her knee, sharing
hopefully she will have a nap after.
Garage sorted and space made - some lighter toys have been stored on the trampoline so they won't be able to use that for a week or so. I've moved one of the tub chairs into garage too, so the great conservatory emptying has begun! Boiler cupboard is clear and accessible - just need to keep a path clear to it
Plan:
Big ikea toy unit to go in hall (measure first?)
Small basket unit into LR - should fit next to small sofa
Kids table and chairs to garage
Other 2 tub chairs to garage
Jigsaw / book boxes to garage
Craft caddy to garage
Then tomorrow I just need to sort the junk corner. I suspect the tall bookcase can stay in situ - its actually under the bay roof rather than the conservatory itself - but I will empty it. The bottom 2 shelves I think are DH books. MIL said she'll take them to the hospice sale when she gets back if I don't want them.
Also fed WM, and got all the blue fluff off DS school tops, then sellotaped the inside of his school sweater. Kitchen cleared too - productive morning! Think we deserve a snoozy cuddle...
DD just said "what are you doing, miss bumpy?" :rotfl:Bossymoo
Away with the fairies :beer:0 -
I'm storming through my list of things to do today - will update later, but feeling chuffed as after a 40 minute phone conversation, I managed to get nearly £200 off my car insurance! I couldn't do an online quote as my new house isn't on any databases yet and car insurance is due just before we move. Still, it was worth the hassle of the phone call. Plus, as I had all the money already saved up for the insurance, I now have £200 spare which I can add to my new laptop fund, which needs a boost, or save over for next year's insuranceMarch 2016 - £178,914.59; July 2017 £146,160.38
Mortgage end Sept 2043; Target - pay off by March 2022, now Sept 2021
Target balance July 2018 £112,5600 -
Madcatgirl do you have $ky in your current home? I had a great chat with them last night and told them a) I was moving which they are sorting all of for free including the phone and broadband, b) informed them that I don't get benefit from what I have and what I wanted to stay with them which I then got for a much reduced price. chaching!
Noticed it on your list (was having a spy incase I forgot anything off mine haha) and thought I'd mention

Hi again,
I've been very busy before my friend came but have edited the list I posted this morning instead of re-posting!
We went a really big walk with her dogs in the rain which was lovely- funny how we live near some lovely walks but never go on them, having a dog must be a great excuse. I'd love one but when I'm back at work it just wouldn't be fair to keep it in. Now my legs are killing though!
And I've had egg on toast and the eggs burst in the micro despite me bursting the yolks- so it needs cleaning again:mad:
