:hello: hope you are all well...

My bathroom flooring has been fitted :j and I have thoroughly defluffed all of the bathroom furniture before putting it back!

Kitchen and bedrooms are all decluttered and awaiting hoovering/mopping as appropriate. The LR however is still housing the most mammoth pile of ironing you've ever seen :(

So my to do list for right now is:

    Clean bath
Put down clean bath mat and towels
    Hoover bedrooms
    Dust bedrooms
    Sweep and mop kitchen
    Dry and put away dishes
    Clean drainer
    Make tomorrows lunch
    Do ironing
    Hoover LR
    Dust LR
Dig out blowup mattress and paraphernalia for weekend visitor.
Pack my bag to leave for weekend :)
:)Sometimes lurking, sometimes posting, but always flying:)

:D I will declutter my house and debts :D
  • Discovered local jeweller (old-fashioned type) buys old gold jewellery so I'll be down there tomorrow. I wear silver now (or white gold, if someone buys it for me) and I have gold stuff from XH which I'll never wear again and DD doesn't want. Every little helps

Great idea but try and get a couple of prices. I was getting rid of my old wedding, engagement and eternity rings and took them to a jewellers in Leamington Spa, he offered me £75. I took them to the Jewellery Quarter in Birmingham and got £180  and that was purely for scrap value, diamonds were too small and the gold was 9ct so they wouldn't resell as while pieces. I joked I shouldn't have married a cheapskate first time around, he laughed and asked to see my new engagement ring from DH and said, "yeah, he really loves you" :rotfl:

    Evening everyone.

    Dailies done.
    Cat stuff done.
Went for my health check. Got to lose some weight.
Then lunch and shopping with DD. Poor soul got upset in the cafe because GS2 and his girlfriend have broken up.

Came home and got dried off and a hot cuppa.

Got a few bits done before the boiler guy came to sort the leak.

Dusty Hugs for you and your friend.

Hiya - no we're with Virgin - we're not allowed to install a Sky dish in our current flat. TBH, I wish we could stay with Virgin, but where we're moving to doesn't have the infrastructure yet! So we're a new customer and will have to work out how to get it installed alongside a phone line, hopefully without waiting too long!

BF proves handy sometimes, he says a new build should have a landline installed, just need to arrange it to be set up. As there is no one leaving the house there shouldn't be a wait to get an engineer out to fit the sky if you give them notice. When there's someone leaving you can't set up an account on the address until theirs is cancelled and then it's a weight after that to get an appointment but you'll not have to worry about that :) x
  • Evening all - hugs to everyone who needs them. Hope all is well. I've been storming through my admin list today, and have got loads done. I'm not going to re-post my flying list as there's nothing more done from that at all - that can wait until tomorrow. Still feeling pleased about getting money off my car insurance ;)

    • Go through larder and meal plan what can be used up - also use up all freezer food before vinyl fitter comes
    • [STRIKE]Wash maternity pillow and baby slings - put away[/STRIKE]
    • [STRIKE]Research home insurance for new house[/STRIKE]
    • [STRIKE]Queries to developer re home insurance[/STRIKE]
    • [STRIKE]Queries to developer re space in the kitchen for new appliances[/STRIKE]
    • [STRIKE]Buy home insurance[/STRIKE]
    • Send insurance details to solicitor
    • [STRIKE]Chase up solicitor how she wants payment/money for final deposit[/STRIKE]
    • [STRIKE]Look at car insurance - can this be reduced (due the day before we move)[/STRIKE]
    • [STRIKE]Confirm moving date with moving company[/STRIKE]
    • [STRIKE]Emails both sets of friends who have offered to help with the move and say "yes"![/STRIKE]
    • Clear out utility room cupboard and chuck anything that we won't be taking.
    • Clear out other utility room cupboard and also chuck anything that we won't be taking.
    • Eb@y the few bits remaining that are worthy of it.
    • Choose/buy appliances and book in delivery/fitting at new house
    • [STRIKE]Book in vinyl floor fitting man for next week[/STRIKE]
    • Spend half an hour packing up the "posh" tea set.
    • Sort out money and spends for the past few days.
    • [STRIKE]Buy "essential" things for my hospital bag[/STRIKE]
    • Research Landlord's insurance for flat
    • [STRIKE]Speak to developers and solicitors - hope to fix completion date on the house[/STRIKE]
    • Go through flat, make a list of all areas which need to be painted, start painting them.
    • [STRIKE]Research/quotes for window cleaner[/STRIKE]
    • Research/quotes for contract cleaner (insurance for if baby arrives just before tenants move in)
    • Look at getting Sky/BT in new house - how does this work and costs etc.
    • [STRIKE]Ring TENS Machine company and complain about them sending 2 machines and refuse to pay postage for sending one back[/STRIKE]
My plans for tomorrow include talking to Sky/BT as necessary, researching new appliances, researching Landlord insurance and listing a couple of bits on Eb@y, as well as flying so that the flat is all sparkly for a viewing on Saturday morning. Also, I really MUST pack my maternity bag - I'm 37 weeks today, so full term! I have a list of what to put in it, and everything is here, other than my nursing bras, which are on order, I just haven't got round to doing it :o The baby's stuff is all packed up and ready though, so that's one thing done.

Tonight I want to use up some more bits from the freezer (as we have to unplug it and get it out of the kitchen to have new flooring fitted next Monday) and finish sorting out my money, as it has got slightly out of control. I have a very complicated and convoluted spreadsheet to keep control of my money and account for every penny. I've not keep up to date over the past few days and have made quite a lot of (budgeted for) purchases, so it needs to be sorted out fast!

Hope everyone has a pleasant evening and hugs all round x
