Forgot I was going to do WM and DW until I got up to go to bed. I still did it though :D.
Once again I couldn't sleep :(. Think it's a combination of things. The people over the back leave their bathroom light on and it's like the sun! DS keeps getting up and leaving the bathroom light on (with the extractor). And it's so flipping hot! Got up to sleep on sofa in end and even then had to kick off the blanket. Will need to revisit having a small blanket on the bed rather than the duvet.
DS currently doing my box in trying to go to school in dirty uniform and now can't find clean. He should have 3 jumpers (he lost one last year) and there isn't one downstairs. He'd better find one or I'm stopping his pocket money until he's replaced. Little toad :(.

  • Good morning. Hope everyone is well :)

I Have a lovely day off today but everyone else is working so might as well get as much done as possible then we can all enjoy the weekend together without there being much to do around the house.

However, the list looks a bit daunting but here goes
Wash, dry and put away towels
    Dark wash and dry
    Hand wash items
    Dust blinds
    Clean glass in hallways
    Dust
    Hover entire house
    Write shopping list
Run errands - bank, post office, chemist.

No time like the present. I will report my progress later

    Have a good day

    Morning all

Not caught up with the thread, sorry! So hugs, spoons, sticks, vibes, etc as needed for all.

Didn't get much done yesterday as I was working all day but at least DD washed up and I had a quick tidy up before bed.

Today is another busy day. I have to re-write newsletters and reprint them, then it looks like I've got photocopying to do as there doesn't seem to be enough copies of something I need to include with the books. I might also have to re-do other things all because I wasn't sent the information when I normally get it  Then tonight I'm delivering to customers but thankfully, in theory, the rain should have stopped by then.

I'm also going to try and go to see my Dsis this afternoon, DD is on half-day (open evening from 4pm for the year 6 pupils to see the school), but if I don't get on today and meet my deadline of 1pm, I'll text her and see if we can go up tomorrow with her birthday card instead.

Okay moving myself towards the kitchen to make another coffee than I'm going to see what needs changing on these newsletter. Lesson learnt, don't try and be too efficient and print the newsletters the day before the order arrives. :(
Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.
Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!
  • Knee is still playing up so have achieved very little from the lists, and I have lots of family around today, as well as a midwife appointment, weekly shop and various chores  Feeling exhausted as I've spent all night being booted and prodded by baby, it's nice to know she's okay but sheesh!

Ooh thanks Thrifty, does that work on bagless cylinders too?

I bet you could put a few drops of oil in the bit where the dust collects. With my old dyson you could take the dust collector bit apart and wash it too so I'd do that first before putting the oil drops on.

Now I've read all the thread I can see Pigpen has already told you this! Sorry for repeating!
Dusty- hugs for you and your friend

Off to find lists and sort out bedrooms. Got a friend coming at half ten so best get a move on!

Sorry Dusty - I meant to say in my quick post earlier that I will be thinking of you and your friend today and in the days ahead. (((Hugs)))

Thank you for my star, Bossy! We both kept well within our limits yesterday, and I even refused a biscuit at the U3A class :)

Yesterday I achieved everything off my list except the AGM preparations, but I've caught up with myself as a result of the early start (I was asleep just after 10.00 last night!) and I'm now on a bit of a roll for today. So is the carpenter - he's already fitted the door from the dining room into the utility, which apparently hasn't had a door for many many years. Our DR used to be the kitchen and the utility used to be the breakfast room, and before that the garage - I'm just recycling rooms :rotfl:

So my list for today looks like this:
    - [STRIKE]help DH move boxes so that the carpenter can fit skirting boards[/STRIKE]
    - finish 5 display boards
    - find and check resource boxes
    - find table covers
    - tidy back bedroom AGAIN
    - WMx2 and hang out (cloudy but blowy)
    - collect cash
    - HHIx2
    - rub down filler in understairs cupboard ready for painting
    - choir tonight: my turn to drive

See you later - hope everyone achieves what they want to achieve today. Help yourselves to spoons, sticks and :coffee:
