Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker Xmas Saver!
    Evening all,

Am totally and utterly exhausted tonight. Not been off the sofa this evening but have now opened a current and savings account for the flat rent to be paid to, once I get the mortgages etc sorted and first payments made I intend to move my personal account to the same place so everything is visible easily.
Also called the utilities company to inform them, luckily the new house is currently supplied by them so nice easy switch there for now.
Called $ky for info about the move and to see if they could do a good deal. They were a bit tight with making an offer (had been hoping for a half price deal or something good) said I'd need to discuss with the BF so will call back. Sadly it's a company that have you over a bit of a barrel if you want paid tv. V1rg1n aren't available in the area yet and TT aren't all that great.
Organised the TV license change of address online (nice and easy!).
Have had a first browse online for insurance for new home too, left it too late to call up the company I'm with now (for both home and car) to see if they can make a good offer.
Also had a call from solicitor handling remortgage to say it's all ok and can be completed by the end of this week. We didn't need it till the end of the month but I'd rather have it sooner than on the deadline if you see what I mean!

Did have a read over the previous posts, well done to Thrifty and others with good news.
Jo thank you kindly for the stars last week, I can imagine it's a hard thing to do with the loss of Toots but it was very much appreciated and I'm sure she was smiling on you while you did them. As for the cards, I admit I can be a hoarder when it comes to things like this, I'm too sentimental. But due to getting it from my mum I now have a card from my great gran from when I was born (she was 81 at the time and I have few memories of her before the proverbial marbles slipped) which means a lot to me along with a card from 'mum and dad' which again is sentimental as they divorced when I was very young. Anything that doesn't have sentimental meaning (ie Christmas cards from general friends etc) gets recycled though.

Best go look out my list and add tomorrows/tick off anything that's been done!)

Was thinking about starting a diary, but then that's another thread I would need to keep up with :rotfl:

Early night for me all, hope your all good and will catch up tomorrow.

Caught up a bit downstairs - need to empty DW still and we'll be ready for another WM load tomorrow night.

Been to see nurse. I've lost half a pound :o and been told to get some ibuprofen gel on my knees - they should not still be stiff now. And DD is being offered a flu "squirt" - not a jab, but a nasal spray being offered to all 2 and 3 yr olds so need to look into that and decide.

Early start tomorrow - suspect it will still be dark  but should allow me time to stop off for milk etc on way home and maybe a hhi before collecting the littlies.

Thu - Sun I need to make sure boiler cupboard is accessible whilst moving contents of conservatory into garage. Where said boiler cupboard is. Sort of furniture Tetris.

Anyhow. Bags, clothes, my pack up all set for morning, gloves out for littlies and I'm all showered and about to drop.

    Night all!

ETA thanks for your stars post xx JO xx I've seen how to do it now and will update the challenge progress!

    Gah.
Sorry I've hardly done any flying this week but I've been busy, honest!
So since work this evening I've been to the chemist, Sainsbobs, pet shop & asda, collected DD from work, done the bins for tomorrow, organised another litter tray for the cats (vets suggestion to help stop unwanted wee on my carpet, I now have 4 trays for 4 cats :( )
Cooked dinner, washed up, put a load of dry washing away and done another load, wrangled the cats out & in again.
Oh, and managed to watch the bake-off on catch-up.
Ready for bed. Hope to catch up with Fred & flying properly later in the week.
    Rx

Ps thankyou for my stars, I'll treasure them :)

Cards - I keep some from close family and friends. Seeing somebodies handwriting after they have left us is very moving and personal. Kids ones from their friends etc I tend to use the picture part for note into school etc in the form of a postcard.
