The Great 'shrinking food and other items' Hunt

Was in Tesco earlier and all their LU biscuits were £1.
Looked at the chocolate ones (biscuit with a layer of chocolate, much like the Bahlsen ones) andf the box was tiny. Checked the size and it was 112.5g.
Lu Le Petit Chocolat Milk Chocolate Biscuits 112.5g - Tesco Groceries
Popped into Sainsbury where all their LU biscuits were £2, but the chocolate ones were 150g.
Have they cut pretty much 25% off the size of the biscuits, or do different supermarkets have different sized boxes?

No idea I pretty much boycott everything a French on principle.0

I thought all the biscuits were getting smaller. Like cereal and so many other things. I certainly know that muesli bars are about 2/3 the size they where a few years back.
edited to add - I was thinking that a brand would be the same across all markets but then remembered a type of salad dressing I liked that were being sold in noticeably bigger bottles in Waitrose than in others and at about the same price. Still come across it sometimes so it is something to watch out for. Not a fan of Lu Lu or Bahlsen so can't say for sure about them really.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe and Old Style Money Saving boards. I think in this scenario it's probably a smaller size for Tesco, to make their price look better (if you simply look at price per packet rather than price per 100g).
The reason I think this is because LU is a French brand and all the major French supermarkets are still showing 150g packs online. If it were a shrinkflation change, you'd expect them to change first as this brand will sell much more quickly in the domestic market.0 -
I only ever buy LU or Bahlsen as they are pretty much the only biscuits that don't contain palm oil.If I can't get them on offer at a supermarket I buy M&S all butter cookies. Avoiding palm oil is more important to us than which country the biscuits come from.0

I am sure Tesco reduced the size of the Laundry Hand Wash but still £3.70.0

Inflation is supposed to have fallen to 2% but I wonder how long we,ll have to wait to see longer toilet rolls again or more food items added to food packets. The insidious thing is we only ever see the effects of inflation. Nothing ever seems to work in reverse.
when do you ever see a manufacturer add on their packaging "longer length" or "more biscuits now added"!!0 -

The packet size wouldn't bother me as long as I'm getting the best value for my money.1
