But one wonders how many new crafty ideas manufacturers can come up with to disguise their shrinking pack sizes.
i have to award the Oscar on this front to Oxo, who some years ago slightly redesigned the shape of their beef gravy cubes to cut out the corners to make them resemble the letter "X".
i don't know how much actual, product that actually saved per packet but ai suspect a product designer or marketing man probably got a nice bonus for that idea!2 -
The large nets of Babybel have shrunk from 12 to 10 pieces.

They keep the prices the same by reducing the content in the packages, it's always being like that. So far Lidl hasn't reduced the weight contents of the produce I buy but the prices have increased, for example frozen peas were 59p last year they are now 79p that's over a 27% increase this year. Their 900g block of cheese has gone from £3.99 to £4.25, a 6.5% increase, they are just two examples of a store not reducing the weights but increasing the prices.Someone please tell me what money is0

Primrose that reminded me of the story about BA - they saved £1m a year by removing one black olive from each meal in first class.
