Its annoying that the fruit shoot bottles have shrunk and now they want 2 in their lunch boxes so it costing me double (they love the stuff)
Maybe try one fruit shoot and one bottle of water; better for them (especially teeth) and they still get a 'treat'

Go ahead biscuits have moved from 5-pack to 4-pack for the same cost.
  • I noticed the Whiskas 11+ Senior Cat Food pouches (and presumably all their others) have shrunk from 100g (like Felix and Sainsburys and Waitrose, if they still sell them) to 85g (like Iams and One), a 15% reduction. That might not be a bad thing for overweight/overfed cats but the rest might notice they're not getting enough any more!
  • I can no longer find 4 ply toilet roll. Even the big brands have cut it to 3ply 😡

  • I quite like Aldi decaf coffee, the jar with the blue lid. I've noticed on the instructions it now says you're to use 2 spoons of coffee per mug...  So the jar's the same size, but the price has crept up and you're to use double whack now too! Nawty is that like.
I removed the shell from my racing snail, but now it's more sluggish than ever.
  • Not strictly a case of shrinkflation but Pepsi appear to have axed the better value three litre bottles just after putting a 25p hike on the two litre bottles. It makes the new multibuy offers a lot worse value and now ironically makes Pepsi the premium cola product which normally was associated with Coca-Cola. As the latters bottles and cans are now primarily cheaper than the former.

Whiskas cat food pouches were 100g but have recently shrunk to 85g and the price has soared.

... I first noticed this some months ago with various brands and for a time I could buy either 100g or 85g but now as you both state it seems to be the new standard weight and prices are about 30% higher, so a double whammy!

However it doesn't in practice make much difference to me, Malcolm seems to leave most of whatever I put down unless I cook fish or buy cooked chicken ... cats !!!  don't we  <3 them.

Animals will eat anything when they’re hungry enough.
  • Whiskas cat food has shrunk.  They used to sell 100g sachets now they're 85g but at the same price.  Bob the cat would need 5 a day instead of 4, and that works out a lot more expensive.  As he doesn't contribute to the household bills he's now getting Sainsburys own brand :)
