  • Maryland cookies. From 230g to 200g. As had to sort out the sizes. Larger were on clearance at work.

Cadbury bars have shrunk again. Variants which were 200g are now down to 180g and variants which were 180g are now down to 160g.

  • Dove soap bars reduced from 100g to 90g (in Asda). Also don't trigger the 4 for £3 offer on the SEL as presumably new barcode for the reduced weight product.

Soon we'll get the privilege of paying to wash with nothing. Seriously, what's the endgame here?

I pulled what I had assumed to be a large loaf of bread out of the freezer this evening:

Upon examination it turned out it was 650g - I am assuming that it started life at the full 800g? (I paid a silly YS price for it so am not aggrieved, just surprised by the weight).
No man is worth crawling on this earth.

So much to read, so little time.

That particular one has been 650g since launch - according to Allinson's, it was designed for smaller households who struggle to finish an 800g loaf.

I hinted to my OH recently that due to all the shrinking food packet sizes it might be a good idea if we proportionately "shrunk" our meal servings portions in view of mildly expanding waistlines     I don't think that idea was particularly well received!

Depressing that we've got so used to this that there have been no posts for 6 months. ☹️

Not food but, DD bought me lillies from M&S. I'd got used to 5 instead of previous 6 but now just 4 flowers in a bunch. ☹️
