If spaces still need to be reserved then I don't see why there wouldn't be freebie bags.

WOW! Just entered my local store code and I've booked a space for me and my daughter for tomorrow night!

    Thanks everyone!

I hope I am proved wrong , but I didnt think there would be freebie food bags because these are different type of events than the previous ones. More of a Christmas Gift Fair with added food and drink , rather than purely food. ( And it doesnt mention goodie bags anywhere in the reservation webpages - and it did for the previous ones )
  • I went to Walkden, Manchester event. Reasonable selection of party finest food to try. Also ham, cheeses, nuts, breads and sweet fayre. I enjoyed it. It was busy tho so I hope they restocked to latecomers would be disappointed. For drinks was Buck's Fizz or juice and they had wines. Sherry and chocolate baileys. We all got a goodie bag with six finest mince pies a small bottle miniature of choc baileys and a face cream sample.

Happy that I WAS WRONG about the goody bag.

Event tonight was very much a "turn up and help yourself to as much food and drink as you want", with displays of various Christmas gifts in the corners of the room

    Party food such as
    mini pork pies
    samosas
    mini pizza
    prawns
    salmon
    mince pies
    crisps
    cold meat
    cheese & biscuits
    nuts
    filled dates
    chocolate
    champagne/wine/baileys

If you are going I would advise you to turn up at 6pm. When I left at 6:45 the room was rammed full and long queues for the food

    Goody Bag had
box of 6 "tescos finest" mince pies
large 760g box of Cadbury Heroes Chocolate
small 50ml sample bottle of "baileys chocolate Liqueur"

Note that it may not be worth turning up if you dont have an invite . They where checking names at the door, which they havent done before

Went to the Cleethorpes event tonight and thoroughly enjoyed it! Came away with the goody bag but unfortunately no chocolate Baileys sample. Shame I had a taste of it to realise how good it was!

One of the managers did tell me that all the perfumes/aftershaves were going to be half-price at the weekend! (I'll go and post it on the 'grabbit' board)

was any of the food cooked/heated? or was it just like previous events?

did they still do their informative/promotional stuff or is it just for eating?

Some it is was heated , some cold
It is just a "turn up and eat as much as you want" - no talks/presentations
So as I said in one of my previous posts best to turn up early , as when I left the room was crammed full and the queues for the food where pretty long.
