At Chelmsford much of the food was cooked - all the buffet type selections were warm. We were just told to try as much as we liked and to fill out a suggestion card at the end. There was very little in the way of promotion, although the staff did make an effort to talk to anyone on their own. Our goody bag had mince pies, Baileys miniature and a small sacket of face cream. No chocs for me!

Is the goody bag the same size and material as the previous ones?

    What colour?

Looks like I was lucky with the mince pies + big tin of heroes chocolate + Baileys sample in my bag. My mum went to a different one yesterday and got the mince pies + Coke pint glass + can of coke.

Actual bags are special Christmas red white and blue reindeer patterns. Made of strong plastic, but a bit bigger than the previous brown hessian ones.

Ours were small jute ones with 'Finest' on the side.

I don't know what to think of my event tonight.

It was packed. I don't know why they crammed it all into one night. The previous events were better because you got a bit of information on the products.

The party food wasn't bad, particularly liked the duck nibbles and the smoked salmon & cream cheese blinis. A few cheeses and a selection of meats. Don't think we had any special Xmas desserts, just a few Finest one. but there was some Christmas cake.

edit: The Gold Frankincense Caramels were also nice, but pricey at £5 for 10.

Not too impressed with the goody bag though: 6 mince pies, 3 pancakes and half a dozen tattie scones - Can't say it's very festive.

lots of food to taste.i also tried chocolate baileys (not just once :) ), prosecco and sherry that i never had before and never will again :) i liked Finest fudge with cranberries and beautiful chocolate baubles

  • No goody bag at my event, which was a shame. Nice food and plenty of it though.

Went to one last night, was disappointed that goody bags not handed out although the food and drink samples were nice and there were a few toys and perfumes etc to look at and try out. On way back past after a quick turn around the supermarket goody bags had clearly been produced so we went back in and asked for them. Ours contained pack of 6 mince pies, handful of roses chocs and a fold up tesco shopping bag - quite useful as my old one is broken. The goody bag itself is also a nice Orla Kierly designed shopper.
