Free food events at Tesco

Is there any likelihood of them having similar events for the Xmas range of food?
I don't know if they would bother as the majority of the food would need to be properly cooked instead of just being laid out as nibbles.
Different stores maybe different because of their sizes and what cooking facilities for staff they have, but I was talking to a store manager after one of the events and he said they where unlikely to run anything with hot food/ready meals etc due to the problems associated with cooking,0 -

I went to the Finest evening and was chatting to the lady at the end (worked for Sainsbury's for a long time so I was being nosey), she told us that these Finest ones are a trial in 100 and something stores and if they go well they will look at doing more in the New Year so I don't think there will be a xmas food one simply because of the time scale. Having done 2 types of evenings now they'll probably need to do a business review and evaluate how it's gone so far and in what direction they're going to progress in the future.0 -
I've just got a invite to my local tesco (oldham, huddersfield road) for the christmas event on 28th nov. I haven't been to one before but looking forward to it.0

How do you get an invite?0

I haven't a clue, just got a invite in the post today. If you go onto the link in the first post but replace the end with christmas evening you should be able to see if your local store is running one, you will just need to know your store number (not sure if this is on a reciept as mine was printed on the invite.)0

Link here: http://www.tescoevents.com/christmasevenings/Welcome.aspx
It asks for store code, anyone know how to find out our local store code?0 -
My store code on the invite matches a number printed on a receipt from my local, it's on the bottom after the date and another set of numbers then the 4 digit store code. Hope that helps.0

Thanks, looks like my local stores aren't running the event. FAQ says it's a 3 hours event. Hope you enjoy it. :beer:0 -
Sad. I once, a few years back got an invite to an exclusive event at an emporium. I turned about when I saw the sheeple being herding twenty minutes before the pace opened.0

Oh, they've changed it. You were able to put in your postcode and it would come up with a list of participating stores.
Wonder if they've done it because people who hadn't got an invite were booking places via the link posted here.0
